( Period 5教案)课型:阅读课教学时间:共六课时,本课为第五课时 45分钟.教学目标:(1)Knowledge objects To review to use phrases and structures to describe peoples appearances. (2)Ability objects: To improve students ability of reading, self-study (3)Emotional objects: Learn the difficulties ann interest of the job “police artist”. To cultivate students awareness of job.教学重点: (1)Learn to find the answer quickly in articles. (2)Review the structures and phrases to describe peoples appearances.教学难点: (1)Understand the new job (2)What does the pronoun represent in the article.教学方法: Discussing method. Listening method. Oral practice method. Actions method. Context method.教具学具: A computer A blackboard A book . 语言知识目标: (1) 词汇:police artist criminal put tall medium built occupation describe(2)短语:put in(3)句子:What does the criminal look like? He has curl blond hair. The criminal is of medium build.VIII.教学过程:教学内容和步骤教学意图和说明一、 Warming up进行简单问候,集中学生注意力,拉近师生间距离。二、Pre-reading (8minutes)Step1 Lead-in:T:I see most of you are a little tired in afternoon. So I prepared a song for you. Would you like to listen?(show a song which concerned with occupation. About 20 seconds) T: Do you like want to listen again? T: Wow! But this time I need you to pay attention to the lyrics. Then tell me what this song talks about? (show the lyrics on PPT) T: OK,what does this song talk about? T: Very good! You are so clever. It talks about many kinds of occupations. (show the word by ppt) T: You see “Doctor, actor, layer or a singer.” 利用一首与职业相关的英语歌曲peerless作为导入,一方面吸引学生的注意力,让学生打起精神上课。另一方面可以自然的引入阅读话题。(歌曲听两遍,第一遍:让学生欣赏、感知。第二遍:让学生带着任务着眼于歌词。(3分钟)Step2 Introduce the occupation “police artist” (Prepare for paragraph1) T: There are nine kinds of occupations which we are familiar with. But today, I will introduce another occupation to you. T: Before I introduce it. lets see some pictures. T: Look at this picture. What does he do? (He is a police)(show three pictures )(drawer/artist, criminal) T: What does a police do?-Find the criminal and protect people. T: What does an artist do?-Draw pictures. T: What does a criminal do?-Do bad things. T: Now, lets see the new occupation. Its police artist. From the word, we can see a police and also is an artist. Can you guess what a police artist do? Please discuss with your partner. One minute, go! T: Time is up. Who can have a try? . T: Do you want to know the right answer? Read paragraph1 in 2b.P49. And find the right answer by yourselves.利用循序渐进的方法,先以学生熟悉的职业警察、画家和罪犯为例,询问其职业只要是做什么的,进而引入police artist 这个职业。通过小组讨论,猜想其职业是做什么的。最后让学生带着问题和好奇心进入阅读,自己寻找答案。(培养学生对阅读的兴趣和自主学习能力)(5分钟) 三、While reading (18minutes)Step1 Analyses paragraph1T:Have you finished?.T:Did you find the answer? What does a police artist do? Volunteer?T:Where is the answer in paragraph1?T:Yes, the last sentence in paragraph. Lets read it together.T:And next question about paragraph1. Before I tell you the question, who can have a try?T:Good, very brave! The question is “Does Joe Brown have an very interesting job ?”T: Great, tell us where the answer is? 1.通过提问答案在文章中的所在处及重复以确保所有学生找到答案。 2.提问较简单的问题时,在问题未给出之前鼓励学生争取回答的机会,培养学生的积极性。 (4分钟)Step2 Prepare for paragraph2T: Now, lets come to Joes job. He draws a picture of the criminal, right? Do you think his job is easy or difficult?T: Suppose I am Joe. I”ll show you a picture with a criminal. You try to remember it and then tell me what the criminal looks like. Are you clear?T:Pay attention, ready go!( 5 seconds) T: OK, now, I need some of you tell me what the criminal looks like. (Point someone to answer and I draw the pictures on BB) T:OK, you see all of you saw the same picture just now. But your descriptions of the criminal are different. So I draw many different pictures. Now , how do you think of Joes job, easy or difficult T:Why?T:There are two reasons. You can find the answer in paragraph two. Ill give you two minutes, go!1. 将文中的描述情景化,师生进行角色扮演,使学生对文章内容先有感官的认识,以降低阅读难度,理解起来更容易。2. 让学生带着问题和好奇心进入阅读,自己寻找答案。(8分钟)Step3 Finish paragraph 2T:Time is up. Who can tell us one reason why his job is difficult?T:Very good! And the other reason? Who?T:You did a good job.T:Do you notice there are two women who describe the criminal in this paragraph?T:OK, four students are a group. First, find the words they used to describe the criminal. Second, find the words which describe the real criminal. Understand?T:Two minutes, go.(Draw a chart on BB, and wrote the answer in the right place)组织学生进行小组讨论,利用图表将答案清晰明了的展现于黑板。(6分钟)四、 Post reading (14minutes)Step1 Finish 2cT:Now, read the whole article and finish 2c by yourself. Two minutes. T:Finished? T:OK, four students are a group. Discuss your answer in your group. Then I need one person from each group to write your answers on BB. The win group can get presents. Come on! One minute.先让学生个人单独完成2c中的练习,再分小组讨论得出小组内共同认定的答案。最后以竞赛的形式展示其答案,并评优给予适当的奖品。(6分钟) Step2 Evaluation T:Great, next, lets see the title of this article. “An interesting job” Do you agree with it? T:Can you find some other words to describe this job? (easy, boring, existing, active.) (Write the answers on BB.)询问学生对此工作的看法和意见,发散学生思维,并让文章与学生的想法和生活联系起来。(4分钟)Step3 Homework (a composition)T:You are so brilliant. Now, todays homework: write a composition according this article. The title can be”an interesting job” or “an boring job” and anything else. You can write whatever job you want. But in the first paragraph, you need write what kind of job it is. In paragraph2, you need to write why it is interesting or exiting and so on. T:Can you find some other words to describe this job?结合本节课所学的这篇文章,让学生模仿写一篇关于工作的作文。及时巩固所学知识。使得阅读和作文教学相结合,互相支撑和巩固。(2分钟)Step4 Evaluation T:At last, lets play a game. First, find a blank paper
