Teaching PlanPart I .Analysis of the Teaching Material There are 3 big parts in this unit. Well focus on “Lets learn” in Part B mainly. The topic of this part is “animals” .Ss have already learned some words about vegetable and their plural forms. Today the Ss will master 4 new words about animals and their plural forms through the lesson. Besides they will distinguish the sentences“Whats this?”“Its a .”from“what are these”“They are.”.As we all know, words are basic in English learning. Its very important to learn this part well. If the Ss can learn them well, it will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit. Part . Analysis of the Students My students of their age are very active and curious, interested in new things. They have been learning English for one and a half years .They also have strong thirst for knowledge and like to be challenged. So, during my class, Ill design some interesting games to activate them to participate and learn something. They will also be interested in the class. Part.Teaching Aims and Demands According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus and after studying the teaching material, I think the teaching aims are the followings:After learning this lesson,students will be able to(1) .learn and grasp four new words such as hen,cow,horse,sheep and their plural forms such as hens cows,horses,sheep.(2) .distinguish“What is this?”from“What are these?”and their answers“It is a.”“They are.”.Ss should master these sentences well.(3) .Know that animals are our friends,we shouldnt do bad things to hurt these animals.Part.Teaching Key Points and Difficult Points Key points:four new words and their plural forms. (hen-hens, cow-cows, horse-horses, sheep-sheep)(4) .Difficult points: sheeps plural form is sheep&the grasp of the sentences“What are these?”&“They are.”Part.Teaching Methods and Teaching AidsTo meet different teaching goals, I will apply different teaching methods and adopt some related teaching activities in this lesson, to make the students the center of the class and better realize my teaching goals. The teaching methods and activities are as follows: 1) TPR teaching method, including activities like guessing games and other TPR games, etc. 2) Cooperative Learning Method, including activities like pair work and group discussing. 3) Visual Teaching Method, including picture-showing and video-watching. 4) Communicative Method, including question-and-answering. 5) CAI(Computer-Assisted-Instruction) Using these teaching methods allows students to actively participate in, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of their learning. Part.Studying WaysAs primary school students in Grade 4 who have learned English for 1 year, they could develop themselves into more effective English learners. I will instruct them to learn how to learn by themselves more effectively and Ill have them study in a relaxed atmosphere. Students understand the new knowledge in certain degree through the mental process of seeing, hearing, saying, observing, thinking, communicating and so on.Part.Teaching procedureStep1.Warming-up&lead-in.(1) .At first,listen to a song and watch a short video:Old MacDonald Had a Farm. After the music,students should think about one question-What are we going to learn today?(2) .Show some pictures and review words they have already learned such as tiger,monkey,duck.etc.I will send these pictures to them.Step2.Presentation and practice.(1) .Invite Ss to go to the farm with me and introduce Old MacDonald and his farm.There are many animals on the farm,so they will listen and guess what they are.(2) .Play the sounds and ask students to guess: -What is this? -Its a hen/cow/horse/sheep -What are these? -They are hens/cows/horses/sheepTips:sheep(single form)-sheep(plural form)(3) .Play a game (bury a bomb)to practice new words.(4) .Look at the pictures showing on PPT and use “These are.”to make sentences. These are hens/cows/horses/sheep.(5) Pair work.Two students a group and practice the conversation.A:What are these?B:They are.(cows,hens,
