Warm-up 1. Greetings.Greet the students as usual .2. Revision.T:Do you like animals?Ss:Yes.T:Me,too.OK,Ill take you to Animal World to see different kinds of animals.Play a video Animal World.T: Do you like dogs ?S1: Yes,I do.T: Why do like dogs ?S1: Because theyre very cute.T: Do you like lions ?S2: No,I dont.T: Why dont you like lions?S2: Because theyre kind of scary.T:Good,just now we used adjectives to describe animals. Show a picture of some other adjectives and ask the students to read though them.T: OK,today lets go on learning to used adjectives to describe animals.Step2. PresentationTeach Activity 1a.Show a picture on the big screen .T: There are many kinds of animals,what do you think of them?Point out the list of eight numbered adjective. T: Now please match the adjectives with the animals in the picture. Write the letter of the animal on the line after the adjective. Point out the sample answer.As students work, move around the room offering to answer questions as needed.Later correct the answers. (other correct answers are possible)T:OK. lets describe the animals in the pictures.First,use the sentence “ I like .because.”to describe the animals.Show three pictures and ask students to make sentences.S1:I like pandas because theyre kind of shy.S2:I like elephants because theyre kind of smart.S3:I like giraffes because theyre kind of beautiful.Second,use the sentence “ I dont like .because.”to describe the animals.S4:I dont like koalas because theyre really lazy.S5:I dont like tigers because theyre very scary.S6:I dont like lions because theyre really scary.Step3. PracticeListening .( Activities1b &1c ). T: Now I will play a recording of a conversation between Tony and Maria. You need to listen and circle the description words you hear in 1a. Play the recording, students circle the adjectives they hear. Play the recording again for students to check the answers. After that,. call attention to the three headings. Animals, Marias Words and Tonys Words, and the write-on lines under each.Make them understand what to do.T:Now I will play the recording again. This time please write the name of the animals each person talks about and the words they say. Are you ready ?Ss: Yes.Play the recording two times and have students write the words they hear on the chart. Then check the answers. Show out the listening material,ask students to read after the recording.Finally explain the listening material.Step4. Consolidation Teach Activity 1d.Call attention to the dialogue next to the picture. Lead students to read the sample conversation and know how to talk about ones favorite animals.Put students into pairs to talk about their own favorite animals. Use sentences like these to say what you think about different animals.Give them several minutes to do it.Students work in pairs to make their own conversations. As they work, move around the room checking the progress and offering language support as needed.Invite some pairs to act out their conversations for the whole class.Sample dialogue:S1:What animals do you like?S2:I like elephants.S1:Why?S2:Because they are cute. What animals do you like?S1:I like dogs because theyre friendly and smart.Step5.Thinking T: Now there are many animals are in danger in the world. There are some animals that are away from us.Show some animals that are away from us to students.After seeing these pictures,ask students:“What do you think?”.Students answer“We must love animals and protect animals!”The teacher says“We must love animals and protect animals! The world will be more peaceful and beautiful !”Step6.HomeworkWrite a composition:Describe an
