Unit 3to unit 4, This class is focused on the revision of comparative and superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs . 、Teaching aims and demands:1. Knowledge objects:(1) According to the revision, to master the rules of comparative and superlative of adjectives and adverbs . (2) The Ss can use the comparative and superlative forms in the proper situation to describe the view. (3) Master and use these basic structures:1) 比较级 +than 2)The + 比较级,the + 比较级 3)as.as + adj. / adv. + as not + as / so + adj. / adv. + as 4) more and more + adj. 比较级+ and + 比较级,5)much、far 、a lot、even、still、a bit 、 a little +比较级 6)最高级+of (in) 7)One of +the 最高级2. Ability objects :(1) To develop the Ss abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing (2) To guide Ss to set up effective studying strategies. (3) To train the Ss abilities of studying by themselves and cooperating .3. Moral objects :To build Ss correct life outlook and values, the Ss can use the correct words to describe the sights of our hometown ,through it , the Ss will know our hometown better,They will love it and try their best to make it better and better. 、The Key and Difficult Points1.The key points :1) The usage of the comparative and superlative forms. 2) The rules of the comparative and superlative forms. 2.The difficult points: Write a passage about the hometown. 、Analysis of the Students The Ss have taken a great interest in English now. 、Teaching Methods and Learning Strategies. 1.Teaching Methods 1 ) Task-based Language Teaching 2 ) Communicative Approach 3 ) Inquiry learning teaching method 4 ) Total Situational Action 2. Show As a picture of a city ,ask Ss to guess where it is,then introduce some information of it.(设计意图:以焉耆图片导课,让学生将课堂与实际生活环境联系起来。)Step2. Revision 1. Show Ss the sights of my hometown, ask Ss to write down the words to describe the video. Then answer the question: -What do you think of our hometown? - Its . .(设计意图:展示焉耆专题片,让学生在观看中写出词,最后再描述视频中的内容,训练学生说和写的能力。)2. List all the words in Ss sentences, ask As to tell the Comparative and Superlative forms of these words.3. Ask As to summarize the regular and irregular rules of Comparative and Superlative forms and make samples.(设计意图:用学生总结出的单词练习,再总结规律。)4. Show Ss a passage about our hometown, ask Ss to read the passage,then Work in groups to find out all the Comparative and Superlative forms and structures. Then show them in the whole class. 5. Ss do some exercise about the Comparative and Superlative forms.(设计意图:展示关于家乡焉耆的文章,让学生再次感受家乡之美,提高阅读的能力,通过小组活动,增强学生团体协作和总结的能力,详见附页。)6. Ask Ss to read the passage again, then have a discussion with the question: How many parts are mentioned in the passage?1) The beginning sentenceIm very glade to show my great hometown to you.2) The bodyThe sights, the people, the environment, the food,the places of interest.3) The ending sentenceXinjiang is amazing, Welcome to Xinjiang.(设计意图:通过再次阅读了解如何描述一座城市。)7. Show Ss the mind map of the passage , explain how to write about a city, ask Ss to write about our hometown- Xinjiang according to the mind map, Show Ss the writing standards, ask As to read the standard carefully,then write.8. Invite two Ss to write their passages on the blackboard,the others write on their notebooks. After finishing writing, ask Ss to read the two passages on the blackboard, , if they had found any mistakes,they could correct them. Check the two passages according to the writing standard. Then,Ask Ss to read the two passages again, vote for the passage they like better,and tell the reasons.(设计意图:学生在课堂上根据思维导图完成作文,学生阅读黑板上作文,即时修改,教师根据写作标准修改,让学生明白写作方向;让学生选出更喜欢的文章并说明理由,让学生提高语言表达能力。)9.
