Now lets have a guess what festival it is by describing some festivals.2. Free talkTalk about your favourite festival. Work in pairs.Step 2. Presentation1. Weve much about Halloween. Ask some questions about Halloween through showing a picture of pumpkin: What is Halloween? (Its an important holiday in the USA.) Who celebrate it? (People in the USA.) When is it? (On 31 October.) How do people celebrate it ? (They dress up, wear masks, paint their faces, make pumpkin lanterns, play a game called “trick or treat” and have a party at night).Show the writing plan about Halloween, tell the students to pay attention to the following elements: what, who, when, how etc.2. T: Which festival do you think is Millies favourite festival?Ss: Spring Festival/Chinese New Year.Have s discussion:What is the Spring Festival?Who celebrate it?When is it?How do people celebrate it?Then show some pictures to discuss together and present the writing plan of Millie on the screen.Step 3 PracticeFinish Part B.
