Shes a bit/a little afraid of the teacher.(形容词)她有点怕老师。Her mother feels a bit/a little better today.(比较级)她母亲今天感觉好一些。2)不同之处:(1)a little可以直接修饰不可数名词,而a bit修饰不可数名词时,只能用a bit of。例如:Tom has a little money.Tom has a bit of money. 汤姆有一点钱。 (2)a bit和a little与not连用时,意思大相径庭。not a bitnot at all,意为“一点也不”;not a littlevery much,意为“十分”、“相当”、“极其”。例如: He is not a bit tired. 他一点也不累。 He is not a little tired. 他很累。【考查点】a bit与a little的区别。【易错点】a bit与a little的用法混淆不清。【考题链接】Why dont men do _ housework? (to) do sth.帮助某人做某事。【拓展】 1)在一句话中,当有多个词或短语并列时,前面几项分别用逗号隔开,最后两项用and相连。2)can是一个情态动词,后面要接动词的原形。4 Many teenagers love his book, and as a result, David has become a successful young writer.很多十几岁的青少年喜欢读他的书,结果,大卫也因此而成了一名成功的年轻作家。【剖析】 本句中as a result后面的句子所表达的内容与前面句子所表达的内容构成因果关系。前面是因,后面是果。【拓展】 successful是个形容词,它的名词形式是success,副词形式是successfully。5 Its sometimes difficult to remember that we shouldnt spend all our time on our favorite hobby。有时候,记住“不要把我们所有的时间都花费在我们最大的爱好上”这个建议是很困难的。【剖析】 1)本句中的it是形式主语,真正的主语是后面的不定式to remember that we shouldnt spend all our time on our favorite hobby。2)在后面的不定式结构当中还含有一个that引导的宾语从句we shouldnt spend all our time on our favorite hobby。【拓展】 1)宾语从句要用陈述句的语序。2)spend.on sth.表示“在某事上花费时间”。此外,spend.on.还可以表示“花费金钱”。6 There are many other interesting things to do in life, and we should try to do something new or different.在生活中有很多其他有趣的事情可做,我们应该努力去做些新的或不同的事情。【剖析】 1)本句是一个由and连接的并列句,前一句是there be句型,后一句是一个“主谓宾”结构的简单句。2)something new or different.表示“一些新的或是不同的东西”。其中something是不定代词,注意形容词修饰不定代词要放在所修饰词的后面。【拓展】 1)there be句型中的be的具体形式是由它后面的名词决定的,如果后面是并列名词,则要与第一个名词的单复数形式一致。叫做“就近原则”。2)常见的不定代词还有:everything,anything,nothing,形容词要放在它们后面修饰。语法专项 、 A定义::在句中担当宾语的从句叫宾语从句,是一种名词性从句,在句中作及物动词的宾语,或介词的宾语,或形容词的宾语。B宾语从句的种类:根据引导词的不同,宾语从句可分为三类。1. 由that引导的宾语从句。That只有语法作用,没有实在的意义,在口语和非正式文体中可以省略。例如:He said (that) he wanted to stay at home.She doesnt know (that) she is seriously ill.I am sure (that) he will succeed.2. 由连接代词who, whom, whose, what, which和连接副词when, where, why, how引导的宾语从句。这些连接代词和连接副词在宾语从句中充当某个成分。例如:Do you know who (whom) they are waiting foe?He asked whose handwriting was the best.Can you tell me where the No.3 bus stop is?I dont know why the train is late.3. 由if或whether引导的宾语从句。If和whether在句中的意思是“是否”。 if、whether 一般情况下可以互换,但在构成whetheror not 句式只用whether例如:I want to know if (whether) he lives there.He asked me whether (if) I could help him.C宾语从句的语序 宾语从句的语序应为陈述句的语序句式连词语序例句陈述句that不变I think that we can be good friends.一般疑问句If/whether陈述语序I cant remember if I posted the letter.特殊疑问句特殊疑问词陈述语序He asked who was our English teacher.D 宾语从句与主句的时态要相互呼应1. 如果主句的时态是一般现在时,宾语从句该用什麽时态就用什麽时态。如:I dont think (that) you are right.Please tell us what they bought in the mall yesterday.Can you tell me how I can get to the railway station?2. 如果主句的时态是一般过去时,宾语从句只能用相应的过去时态(一般过去时, 过去进行时, 过去将来时,过去完成时)。例如:He asked what time it was.He told me that he was preparing for the sports meet.He asked if you had written to Peter.He said that he would go back to the U.S. soon.3. 如果宾语从句所陈述的是客观真理,其时态常用一般现在时。例如:Our teacher said that January is the first month of the year.Scientists have proved that the earth turns around the sun. 过关测试 1.Have you decided _for Australia?A. when will you leave B. when do you leaveC. you will leave when D. when you will leave2.Can you tell me _ ?A. where does Tom live B. where Tom lived C.
