Unit6 An old man tried to move the mountains教学设计【教材来源】义务教育教科书 人民教育出版社 2013年10月版【内容来源】八年级英语下册Unit6 【主题】An old man tried to move the mountains SectionA 1a-2c【课时】1课时 【授课对象】八年级学生【设计者】程少博/米河镇第二初级中学【审核者】八年级英语备课组【目标确定的依据】1.课程标准相关要求:能听懂简单故事的情节发展,理解其中主要人物和事件;能讲述简单的小故事。2.教材分析:本单元以童话故事为题材,由一个童话故事An old man tried to move the mountains贯穿,内容与情节能吸引这一年龄段学生的兴趣,且股市的语言简单易懂,描写细致生动,使学生在听故事、看故事、复述故事和表演故事等实践活动中学习语言。同时,在实践活动中能感受、了解在英语中要用动词的过去式叙述过去的事情,从而在语境中学习语法。3.学情分析:八年级学生已掌握了一些英语基础知识,但英语综合运用能力和习惯还没有形成,本单元话题贴近学生生活实际,教师应采用视听法、角色扮演、情景交际法和小组互助型学习法,引导学生积极运用英语讲出自己所知道的童话故事。【学习目标】1. 通过课前预习、课堂操练能听懂、会说、会读shoot(shot), stone, weak, god, remind, begin(began), once upon a time。2. 通过教师引领、师生对话、生生对话能用以下句型进行交际: -How does the story begin? -Once upon a time, there was a very old man. -What happened next? -Why was Yu Gong trying to move the mountains?3. 通过同桌对话、小组合作能用一般过去时及”as soon as, so. that, unless和Finally.”等结构来讲述Yu Gong Moves a mountain的故事。 【评价任务】1. 通过课前预习达成目标一,并通过听力理解和课堂习题加深。2. 通过师生问答,生生问答,同桌交流等活动达成目标二。3. 通过听力理解,教师引领、同桌讨论,小组活动等达成目标二、三。【教学过程】Step1: Warming up:A guessing game T: Look at PPT. Lets guess what stories they are about. You can answer in English or Chinese. (Show the picture one by one. Help students speak out the names of these stories. If the Ss speak Chinese, encourage them to say it in English)Step2:Learning aims(自读)Step3:Leading-inT:Do you know some fairy tales in China?分别呈现Journey to the west,Yu Gong moves a mountain, Hou Yi shoots the suns, Nu Wa repairs the sky等,然后完成1a。Step4:Watch a videoand answer the questions: (1)Whats the name of the story? (2) Who are the main characters(人物) in the story?Step5: Listening Task1: Choosing the picture Listen to the tape in 1b on P41 and say which story Anna and Wang Ming talk about. Task2: Checking the facts and correct the answers (look at PPT or the statements in 1b on P41) Task3:(1c)Work in pairs.Discuss the questions with your partners. (1)How does the story begin? Once upon a time, there was a very old man.) (2)Why was Yu Gong trying to move the mountains? Because they were so high and big that it took a long time to walk to the other side. (3)What happened next? The old man told his family that they should all help him to move the mountains. (4)Where could they put all the earth and stone from the mountains?They would put all the earth and stone into the sea. Task5:Discuss the pictures in 2a:What were they doing? Task6:Numbering the pictures Listen to the tape in 2a on P42 and number the pictures in order to tell the story. Task7:Choosing the words Listen again the circle the words you hear. Task8:Work in pairs. Discuss the questions with your partners. (5)How does the story end?Finally, a god was so moved by Yu Gong that he sent two gods to take the mountains away. (6)What does the story remind us?It reminds us that you can never know whats possible unless you try to make it happen. Step6: Extension (Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks to make a complete story) Yu Gong and his family began to move some of the _ and stone to the _.
