Unit 4 Why dont you talk to your parents?SectionA (1a-1c)一、教学目标 1 知识目标:a.学习新词allow,新短语allow sb. to do sth., after-school classes;复习旧短语:too much, too many, hang out with friends, get into a fight with ,have some free time to do, get enough sleep.b.能够正确使用句型Whats wrong? /Whats the matter ? 来提出问题并根据实情描述自己的问题c. 掌握提建议句型“Why not do?” “ Why dont you do?” “You could/should do” 。2 能力目标:能熟练地运用所学的单词和句型来表达自己遇到的困难,询问他人的问题以及会给出适当的建议。3 情感目标:通过本课的学习,教会学生能正确认识生活中的一些困难, 在遇到困难时能主动地同家人、朋友、老师和同学交流,要学会放松,缓解压力。二、学情分析 八年级学生进入下学期,青春期现象严重,在生活和学生上出现许多问题和麻烦,结合教学目标,学生更喜欢学习与自身相关的内容,因此本节课从学生们日常生活中遇到的问题入手,将学生们分成男女生两大组进行PK,为学生们设计了多个竞争游戏,让学生们在每一个环节中学习单词、词组和重要表示建议的句型。通过自主合作学习,让学生们学会积极面对问题,相互帮助给与好的建议,快乐地学习和成长,相信学生会受益良多。三、教学重、难点 1.教学重点: 1) Talk about the problems. 2) Learn the new language points. .2. 教学难点: 1)能根据对方所提出的问题,给出一些合理的建议 .2)学会表达建议的一些方式.四、教学过程Step 1: 【 Lead-in】 A Competition GameDivide the whole class into two groupsGirls&Boys. The teacher will write colorful Good for each group on the blackboard when they answer the questions during this class. One right answer, one letter.【设计亮点】: 通过将学生们分成男女生两大组,在整节课用写Good的方式进行PK充分调动了学生的积极性。Step2: Presentation【Competition Game One】: Who has the best memory? 【Task1】(记忆力大比拼-写句子)Let the Ss enjoy a video first. After that, they should list the Ss problems as much as possible. Then give the Ssname for each problem.【设计亮点】: 视频展示教学法是呈现知识最简单有效的方法之一,学生通过观看关于自身日常生活一些问题的视频,既能够很快进入角色,又能够更直观的理解学习一些重要短语。Step3: 【 Stand-up Game】After listing all the problems shown in the video, play a stand-up game with the Ss. The student who has the problem will say the problem, the other Ss who have the same problem should stand up. Then, the Ss who didnt stand up ask: “Whats wrong with you?” The Ss who are standing answer: “I ,whats wrong with you?” Then the next student in the picture answers and asks the question again to practice the conversation.【设计亮点】: 通过Stand-up Game环节操练学生的口语,既让学生们练习了讨论日常生活问题的对话,又将学生习以为常的机械式的Pair work转化为在游戏中进行,使学生们更加感兴趣,参与度更高,课堂气氛也更加活跃。Step4: 【 Competition Game One】: Who has the best memory? 【Task2】(记忆力大比拼-抢答)After teaching the Ss some important phrases, let Ss translate the phrases.【设计亮点】: 通过记忆力大比拼抢答环节,活跃课堂气氛,再次巩固一些重要短语,为下面的听力做铺垫。Step5: 【 Competition Game Two】: Who is the bravest person? (开门大吉)There are three doors for the Ss. A student opens one door. There are three listening tasks behind each door.【Listening task1】: Listen and circle the problems you hear in 1a.【Listening task2】: Listen and complete the problem&advice chart.ProblemsAdviceI have to study too much so I didnt get enough sleep. 1.go to sleep early 2._I have too many after-school classes. tell your parents that you cant_My parents think_to take more after-school classes.1._your parents again2. explain that you need to_【Listening task3】: Listen and fill in the blanks.Girl 1: You look really tired._Girl 2: I studied until midnight last night so I didnt get enough sleep. OK, Ill try to talk to them again.【设计亮点】: 通过学生们熟知的央视热播节目开门大吉引出三个听力任务,使学生们眼前一亮,充分调动了学生的积极性,使所有学生都积极参与到听力中来。Step6: Pair workLook at the problem pictures and work in pairs to practice the conversation.A: Whats wrong with you?B: I What should I do?A: Maybe you should/could doWhy dont you/not do?B: That sounds good. /Thank you. Ill try./ Good idea.【设计亮点】:通过两问两答的pair work再次练习口语,并使学生不仅能用英文谈论自己的问题还学会怎样用英文提出建议。Step7: 【Competition Game Three】: Which group acts best? (角色扮演) Group work-Role playLet the Ss role-play in group of four. Everyone should be the doctor once. The others are patients. Tell the doctor about your own problems and ask for advice.Then the teacher asks some groups to role play in front of the whole class.【设计亮点】:通过小组活动角色扮演医生与病人,给学生们创设一个真实的生活情境,使学生们知道如何在现实生活中使用本节课所学句型,充分调动了学生的积极性,使所有学生都积极参与到group work中来。Step8: Advice & Homework.Give the Ss some advice and ask the students to try to write an article about their friends problems and give some advice for them.【设计亮点】:通过总结本节课所学重点,告诉学生们日常生活中困难难免,重要的是如何以积极的态度去面对,并给学生们一些建议,将情感升华, 为学生课后的写作练习提供思路。五、板书设计Unit 4 Why dont you talk to your parents? Ill try./ Good idea.Girls VS BoysGood GoodGood GoodGood GoodGood GoodGood GoodGood Good 六、个性设计1. 将学生分为男女生两大组以写Good的方式进行PK,整节课主要由三个竞赛游戏组成,激发了学生的斗志,使学生参与度很高。2. 充分发挥了多媒体教学手段的优势,以视频的形式呈现了学生们日常生活中遇到的一些困难,引入本课课题谈论生活中的麻烦问题。3. 用Stand-up game 代替传统机械的pair work来练习对话,使学生兴趣更浓,热情更高。4. 用央视热播节目开门大吉的形式引出三个听力任务的新颖设计,吸引了学生们的眼球,充分地调动了学生们的积极性,使得听力练习不那么单调枯燥。5. 小组活动以医生病人的角色扮演的形式来进行,为学生设立了真实的生活情境,使学生在本节课中所学知识运用到现实生活中,让学生体会到本节课的收获及意义。七、教学反思本节课是
