They are innocent and look forward to the teachers and classes. They are also active and love showing. They can be actively participate in the class.Teaching Aims:Language goals1. Vocabularies:Rainy/raining, windy, cloudy, sunny, snowy/snowing, weather2. Sentence patterns:Hows the weather in.?/ Whats the weather like in.?Its .in .Ability goalDescribe the weather using the words and sentence patterns learnt in this lesson.Moral goalsLove our nature and colorful life.Teaching important points:1. The vocabularies about the weather.2. Sentence patterns about the weather_ Hows the weather? _Its raining/ windy.Teaching difficult points:Use target language to ask about the weather. Teaching Aids:Computer , PPT,chalk, blackboardTeaching procedures:Step 1. Lead in Enjoy a song and ask students what the song is about in order to lead out the word “weather” and the topic of this lesson. Step 2 Presentation1.Students learn new words about the weather by the pictures on ppt. rainy/raining windy cloudy sunny snowy/snowing2.Learn some signs about the weather.3.Present the sentence patterns about the weather:Hows the weather?(Whats the weather like?) Its .Step 3 Play a gameReview new words and new sentence patterns above by the guessing game.Step 4 Pair workLook at pictures on ppt to do pair work like this: Hows the weather? Its .Step5 Match the words with the pictures on studentsbook(1a).Do 1a and ask students for the answers.Step6 listening(1b). Listen and write these city names in the boxes above. First, learn these city names and then listen carefully. At last, ask for the answers.Step7 Look at the pictures to ask and answer using the sentence patterns learnt.The aim of this activity is to help students to know the cities well and review new words and sentence patterns. Step8 Look at the map of Anhui province and do pair work like this:A: Hello! This is Tom speaking.B: Hi, Tom. Its Linda here. I am in now.A: Hows the weather in? B: Its .A: What are you doing there?
