Warming-up and lead inWatch a video program about the weather.Then use present tense to lead in.Step 2. Presentation(Show some pictures of the weather)Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather it is.Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures.Step 3. Play a guessing game.Show some pictures as hint and then ask Ss to guess the weather.Step 4. Work on 1a.1. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the left. Ask the Ss to match the words with the pictures.2. Check the answers.Step 5. Pair works.1. Show some signs of the weather to the students and get them to know the signs.2. Show a map of China. Then ask students to talk about the weather in different cities with their partners.3. Invite students to act out their conversations.Step 6.Listening1. Before listening, show a world map. Then teach the places on the map. Get Ss to be familiar with these places.2. Show some pictures about these places and make conversations.3. Now, well hear four conversations .Listen carefully and ask the Ss to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather. Step 7. Pair works.1. Tell the Ss: If you are in one of the places in the pictures above. Talk about the weather with your friends in another city on the phone.2. Make a model with a student.Step 8.Summary1.
