What are you doing? Im watching TV. What is he doing? He is reading.2.过程与方法: 通过幻灯片展示,学习现在进行时态,展开课堂结对问答式的口语交际活动,谈论正在发生的事情并进行回答;同时进行听力、口语训练。3.情感与文化目标: 通过谈论人们正在做的事情,培养学生关心他人的品质、合作的好习惯。学习目标1. To learn some new words: Newspaper, use, wash , dish, make, soup,wash2. To learn some new sentences:Whats he doing?What are they doing?Hes using the computer.Theyre listening to a CD.3. To learn the usage of present continuous tense4. Be able to use present continuous tense to talk about action5. Students are able to use present continuous tense to communicate with classmates to improve the ability of talking.6. Students can talk about what they are doing and make invitation.教学重点1.让学生在具体语境中感悟、理解和学习现在进行时的用法。2.Talking about things happening。解决措施Present the pictures, pairwork, groupwork 所学知识的理解。教学难点1 让学生对一般现在时态和现在进行时态的概念有所区别,以及把握分词的构成方法。解决措施Let students summarize by themselves and do the exercises学习现在进行时态,展开课堂结对问答式的口语交际活动,谈论正在发生的事情并进行回答;同时进行听力、口语训练。 情感与文化目标: 通过谈论人们正在做的事情,培养学生关心他人的品质、合作的好习惯教学过程Step 1 Sitcom show Aim: Revise the pattern sentences in Unit 5. Ask a few pairs to act out their sitcoms and make comments. T: What are they doing ? Help the Ss answer : They are making conversations.1. Present some pictures of animals, ask: What are lions doing? They are fighting. What is the elephant doing? It is walking. Repeat with the other pictures. 2. Ask a S to do an action, ask What are you doing? Help him to answer I amRepeat other Ss. 3. Repeat the words after the teacher. 4. Teach the Present Progressive.1)Introduction: Talk about the title of this unit. Show some pictures to introduce the Present Progressive tense.T: Whats she/he doing? Ss: She/He is v-ing (Help the Ss to answer the questions and show the sentences)2) Let the Ss to say what the Present Progressive is.(现在进行时表示现在正在进行或发生的动作, 它的表现形式为:Be Verbs + V-ing .)3). Tell the difference Write down the V-ing forms by another lines of go, watch, do, play and eat . Ask the Ss to have a look and find the difference between them. For example: go and going, watch and watching, do and doing, etc. Then ask the Ss to read them again and do more exercises.Step 2 Introduce the key vocabulary:1. doing homework, watching TV, cleaning, eating dinner, reading, talking on the phone2.Focus attention on the picture. Ask students to name as many of the activities they see in the picture as they can.3.Then ask students to match each word or phrase on the list with one of the pictures. 4.Match the words with the things and check the answer.Step 3 1a Aim: To introduce Ss to the unit goal: talk about what people are doing; increase their vocabulary. 1. Help the Ss talk about the pictures. The Ss read these V-ing words after the teacher. Match the words and the activities. Check the answers.2. Help the Ss do “Ask and answer” practice in pairs.3. Ask some Ss to do actions and let the class guess what he/she is Step 4 1b Listen and number the conversationsThis activity gives students practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation. Point to the names of the people with a blank after each. Ask students to read names aloud.Say, Now Im going to play recordings of three people. Listen carefully and write the number of the activity each person is doing. Point out the sample answer.Play the recording the first time. Students only listen. Play the recording a second time. This time ask students to listen and write the number of each activity on the line after that persons name. Step 6 1c Pair workThis activity provides an oral review of the vocabulary and other target language.1. In this game, one student will pretend to do an activity and the rest of the class will guess what the activity is. 2.Point out the conversation in the picture. Ask two students to read it aloud.3.Demonstrate the activity. Act out an action such as playing the guitar and ask students to guess what you are doing. If they guess wrong, use the words in the conversation to continue the question.4.The student who gives the correct answer can do the next activity. Step 7 2a 2a listening practice1.Point out the four questions and read them to the class, then ask a student to read them to the class.2.Say, I am going to play a recording. Please listen carefully. Then answer the four questions.3.Play the recording the first time. Students only listen. 4.Play the recording a second time. This time students write the answers .5. Check the answers.Step 8 2b 2b listening and writingThis activity provides guided reading and writing practice using the target language.Play the tape recording and then fill in the blanks .As students work, move around the room and check their progress.Check the answers by replaying the recording. Ask two students to read the completed conversation. Step 9 2c oral practice using the target language. Ask the students to role play the conversation in 2b . Then ask them to act it out .Step 10 Work on 2d 1. Role-play the conversation in 2d. 2. Follow the example in 2d and make up a conversation with a partner.
