Do you like watching TV? Do you watch the weather report on CCTV1 at 7:30 p.m.?Step2 Presentation1. Lead-inShow some weather signs. Then ask students “Do you know them? Please discuss and answer.”Show the weather pictures and words, and then teach them these new words: rain, windy, cloudy, sunny, snow.Ask the students the question, “If we want to know about the weather, how do we ask?” to present the target languages “Hows the weather? =Whats the weather like?” Then show some pictures to practice.2. Teach Activity 1a.Focus on the picture in 1a. Point out the numbered list of description words. Say each one and ask Ss to repeat the words again. Then ask Ss to match each word with one of cities in the picture. Check the answers.3. Teach Activity 1b.Play the tape and get Ss to write the city names in the picture of its weather. Check the answers. 4. Teach Activity 1c.Lead the students to read the example conversation in the box. Then put them into pairs to ask and answer like the example.
