Preparation: (1)Teach the students the new words and preview the text; (2)Ask the students to collect some information about noodles. Teaching aims1. Knowledge aims1). To get the students learn and grasp the following important new words and expressions: noodle, mutton, cabbage, potato, tomato, carrot, special, would like;2). To get the students grasp the following sentence patterns initially: -What would you like? Id like some noodles. Are there any vegetables in beef noodles? 2. Ability aims1). To enable the students to talk about their preference by using the following expression: would like;2). To get students know learn how to order food.3. Emotional aims1). To develop the students sense of politeness when ordering food.2). To help the students keep a healthy eating habit. Teaching important pointsTo help students grasp the important words, expressions, and sentence patterns: 1) noodle, mutton, cabbage, potato, tomato, carrot, special, would like;2) -What would you like? Teaching proceduresStep 1:Warming up (3 minutes)Do some exercise before the class.The teacher orders, and the students do.T: Good afternoon, everyone. Before the new lesson, lets do some exercise first. First of all, turn left. And turn right. Lets play volleyball. Lets play basketball. Lets play badminton. Jump five!Ok! After doing so much exercise. Im tired and hungry. Are you tired? Are you hungry? Would you like to eat something?(Ask some students) What would you like to eat?【设计意图】通过课前小运动老师发令,学生做动作,不仅能起到热身作用,将学生带到英语学习的氛围中,还能为后面的导入教学服务,使课程更具连贯性。 Step 2: Leading-in (2 minutes)Create a situation- The teacher has a noodle house. Do you want to eat something in the noodle house.T: I have a noodle house. Do you like noodles? In my noodle house, there are some specials in my noodle house. Do you want to eat something in my noodle house?(Here, the teacher should teach the world: special)【设计意图】创设情境,假如老师有一家面馆,在学生做完运动后,邀请学生去面馆吃东西,看看面馆里有些什么食物,自然而然地引出了单词教学。 Step 3: Presentation 1 (7 minutes)Now, lets go to see what food is there in my noodle house.1) Show some pictures, and teach the new words. Pay much attention to the pronunciations.When teaching the new words, the teacher should pay much attention to the pronunciation, and try to teach the pronunciation by combining it with the word we learned before.E.g., T: whats this?S: noodle.T: How do you pronounce it. S:.T: Lets see. The double “oo” in the word pronounces “u:”. Try to think about any other word with double “oo” and the same pronunciation.S: poolThen, give the students two minutes to remember the words.【设计意图】图片教学,更加直观,各种各样的食物图片能够调动学生学习的兴趣;另外将新单词的发音及拼写与已学单词的发音及拼写结合起来,更有利于增强学生的记忆。2) Now, lets check your memory.Q1: Do you know their names? ( Show some pictures, and check whether the students grasp the spelling)【设计意图】图片进行单词教学后,给学生一定的时间,当堂有效地记忆单词。然后分成两个部分来检测当堂背诵的效果一是检查单词与图片的配对,及检测单词的含义,二是检查单词的拼写。Step 4: Work on 1a (5minutes)1) Match the words with the foods. Then, check the answers. Picture a is a tomato. Picture b is beef. 【设计意图】通过课本上的练习,再次巩固所学单词2) Group workMake a survey in a group of four by asking your group members “what would you like?”, and then, fill in the blanks and make a report.Report: In my group, Id like some cabbage. Remember: you must finish three tasks to get the job.【设计意图】在已有的情境中,增加一个小活动目前,我们面馆有一个招聘工作,你想来挑战吗?必须要完成三个任务,才可以进入面馆工作哦!下面的教学就是将听说读写全部囊括到这一个招聘活动中来,使得整堂课的过度自然流畅。1) Task 1: Can you introduce the specials?Show some pictures of food, and teach the students how to read these specials.【设计意图】通过图片以及本课所学单词,教授特色菜的读法。能够说出特色菜的名称是作为一个服务员必备的素养之一。2) Task 2: Can you understand the conversation between a waiter and a customer.T: Do you want to meet some famous people in my noodle house. Who is he? S: Jackson.T: Today, Jackson is in my restaurant. Lets listen and try to check the noodles he orders.Then, check the answers.Finally, listen and repeat. Pay much attention to the pronunciation.【设计意图】应聘任务二:能够听懂顾客与服务员之间的对话。在此,以学生都喜爱的歌手Jackson易烊千玺作为切入点,更能吸引学生的注意力。此时,Jackson正在本店点餐,请听他与服务员的对话,试着找出Jackson所点的是哪道特色菜。3) SpeakingPractice the conversation in 1a with your partner.
