When we talk about its economy, technology, education, military and so on, we are fully aware of the gap between American and others.We have to explore the enormous power which drove American to rise in a short time. In my opinion, Americans need thank for which war brought to them. Their leaders made some extremely right strategic choices when their country faced the wars.1. Several Significant Wars for the USA1.1 The War of IndependenceEngels pointed out “where there is oppression, there is revolt.” In this case, the ancestor of Americans were forced to begin the famous battle, it is also the beginning of American history.The first shots in the American War of Independence were fired on April 19, 1775. Fighting broke out when 700 Britain soldiers encountered local militiamen in Lexington. In May 1775, the Second Continental Congress was held in Philadelphia and began to assume the functions of a national government. After years of struggle, the British and the Americans signed the Treaty of Paris in 1783; the United States of America won its independence.Today, when we analysis of this case, In fact, well find that before this battle, American have prepared for it. At the aspect of its basic economy, it finished the accumulation of original capital, what it brought is immigrants awakening. In other words, their national consciousness has been formed already. Of course, we can say that the war was the result of the political American Revolution. American seized the opportunity well when historical conditions were ripe. 1.2 The Civil WarThe War of Independence initially eliminated the British colonial rule which was regarded as the external obstacle, while the Civil War further wiped out the internal obstacle of American social system. The direct cause of the war is that in response to the election of Abraham Lincoln as President of the United States, 11 southern slave states declared their secession from the United States and formed the Confederate States of American, and then Lincoln ordered to attack rebel states. But in essence, this is the result of the confrontation between two very different economic forms. The North represented the capitalist machine industry while the South represented the slave plantation.As we know, the military is an extension of the political activities, and Marx pointed out “all political activities are based on economic.”It is obvious that this war was a kind of self-evolution of American, when something bad delays the development of American, it will take actions. Finally, advanced social system has defeated the backward and the civilization has conquered of the barbaric. Since then, American has united the pace, and accelerated their speed for developing.1.3 The First World WarThe Great War began on 28 July 1914, whose main battlefield was in European continent. It lasted until 11 November 1918. It involved all the worlds great powers, which were assembled in two opposing alliances: the Allies and the Central Powers. At that time, American made a right choice in the first place, it joined the Allies. In fact, since the late 19th century, contradictions between the United States and Britain decreased gradually while Germany was becoming the main competitor for American expansion in Latin America. Thereby, having a battle face-to-face couldnt be avoided. The second right choice American made was the time they declared war on Germany. The American declared “neutral” before it involved in the war was just aimed to create fortune and waiting for the best time to enter the war. In 1917, the war was drawing to a close, the two major military blocs were exhausted, the United States began to fight at this time, can not only easily win the victory and get the booty they want, and is good for taking the world hegemony in the post-war time. Because of the two vital and wise choices, the USA finished the great transmutation smoothly. Before this war, it was a minor country, however, due to the Great War, even though European continent was still the main rhythm of the entire world at that time, the U.S.A has became a great world power couldnt be ignored.1.4 The Second World WarIn some sense, I think there arent two great world wars, from 1918 to 1939; this period is just like a kind of intermission, and the fundamental contradictions of the world war havent been resolved. As a result, the second muscle contest automatically occurred.The Second World War was a global armed conflict that was underway by 1939 and ended in 1945. It involved a vast majority of the worlds nations, including all of the great powers, eventually forming two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. This time, the U.S.A chose to stand in the side of the Allies. As for the strategy, it still accumulated wealth by selling a lot of steel, ores weapons and so on. Meantime, it waited for the best opportunity. Until the aircraft of Japan flew to Pearl Harbors airspace and dropped the devastating bomb, the U.S.A has declared the war to Japan and its partners. As a matter of fact, just a few months ago, Germany has suffered defeat at the battle of attacking the Moscow; it has broken the myth that the German army was invincible. Thus it is not difficult to understand why the U.S.A entered the war at this time.At last, the Second World War ended with the failure of the Axis and the U.S.A became the biggest winner again. Thanks to the greatest war in human history, its national strength and international status were further enhanced. Since that time, the U.S.A has stood the top of the world.Conclusion The several wars mentioned above all have significant impact on the United States.
