This story remind us that you can never know whats possible unless you try to make it happen.But what could Yu Gong do instead of moving the mountains?2. 情感态度价值观目标: 学习愚公不畏困难,勇于“挖山”的精神。二、教学重难点 1. 教学重点: 1) 掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。 2) 进行听力训练,提高综合听说能力。 3)学会询问故事发展的基本句型,3)学会表达故事中的一些人物或情节,并发表自己一些简单的看法2. 教学难点:学会表达故事中的一些人物或情节,并发表自己一些简单的看法三、学生情况分析:大部分学生对本课所涉及到的故事,特别是愚公移山这个经典故事都耳熟能详。本课通过问题设置,学生能用所给图片和关键词用英语表达故事的情节,能发表自己的一些简单的看法。四、教学过程 Step I Lead in 1. Play the video of Yu Gong moves the mountains to lead in.T: Whats the name of the story?S1:Its Yu Gong moves a mountain. S2: Its a traditional Chinese story. T: Do you know other traditional Chinese stories? S1: Hou Yi Shoots the SunsS2: Nu Wa Repairs the SkyS3: Change Flies to the MoonS4: Yu Gong Moves a MountainStep Presentation 1. Look at the pictures and guess the English names.(the main character)2. Match the pictures with the English names in 1a.3. Check the answers (Answers:b.d,a,c)and ask Ss to read the names of the story in the box together.Step Listening(work on 1a)1.Before listening1) Learn the new words in the listening: once upon a time, stone, sothat, hold, dig, earth.2) Guess the main idea from the title and the three sentences in 1b.3) Circle the key words in each sentence.2. While listening1) Play the tape for the first time to get the main idea.2) Play again and check the answers.3) Play the tape for the second time to help Ss to fill in the blanks of the retelling of this story.4) Check the answers together. (Answers:The two mountains were very high and big.A very old man tried to move the mountains.)Step Listening(work on 2a&2b)T:Now lets continue to listen to the story to see what happen next.1) Ask Ss to look at the pictures in 2a, and then discuss what the pictures about.2) Ask Ss to number the pictures according to their memories about this story.3)Play the tape for Ss to listen and check the answers.( Answers:3,2,1,4)4) Ask Ss to read the sentences in 2b,and explain some key points of the sentences to help them to do the listening.5) Ask Ss to listen carefully and circle the words they hear.6)Check the answers together.
