Why?Step3 Lead-in 1.T: All of you have your favorite month. However, what subjects do you learn at school? Which subject do you like best? How to answer these questions and talk about your favorites ? This class we will learn. Please follow me and listen to me carefully. Can you ?step 4 Presentation1.Show some new words : science, P.E. music, math, Chinese, geography, history2.Ask students to read these words aloud by themselves and then read them together.3.Play a game. Show me their book correctly. For example, I say math, they should show me their math book quickly and correctly.(Chinese, math, English, art, geography, history.) 4.Challenge students memory. Show an apple word tree and ask students to read these words together and then look them carefully and tell me “which apple is missing?”5.Work on 1a.1). After reviewing these words , then ask students to match the words with the pictures quickly on page 49 to finish 1a.2).Check the answers together.6.T: We learned these subject words just now. Ask some students to imitate some actions and others guess what his/her favorite sport.(In order to practice the sentence pattern.)Step 7 Listening 1.Listen and circle the subjects you hear in 1a. 2.Check the answers together.3.Listen again and fill in the blanks.4.Check the answers together.5.Show the tapescripts and ask students to pay attention to the red words, then ask them to read together. Step 8 Group work.1.Ask students to make conversations by using the following sentences.
