We must be on time.3.学会礼貌地回答别人的善意提醒:Dont run in the hallways. Sorry,Ms.Clark.教学重难点1.正确使用常见的短语,如:arrive late for,be on time, listen to music等。2.学习运用祈使句的否定形式表达“禁止”,情态动词can(cant)表达“许可”以及must表达“义务”的句型。3.注意区别不同情态动词表达意义的区别,can的肯定、否定形式的重弱读变化,学会礼貌地回答别人的善意提醒。教学思路本课时的教学内容是人教版七年级下册英语第四单元的第一课时,重点在于引导学生通过主题图片,理解语境,以谈论校规为话题,开始学习祈使句的否定形式以及情态动词can(cant)和must的表达方式,自然地导入谈论规章制度的句型。Dont,We must,We cant。运用主题图片引起学生的兴趣和注意,进行听、说活动,训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。利用动作、手势和图片介绍、学习表示有关学校规则的短语和Dont开头的祈使句,同时在对话中练习使用情态动词cant和must表达“许可”和“义务”的句型。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课时新出现的短语、祈使句的否定形式和情态动词表达规章制度的句型。情感目标定为通过话题的学习、训练,培养学生注意语言的得体性,学会礼貌地回答别人的善意提醒,通过教学内容的学习,对校规、班规有正确的认识和对待,提高遵守规则的自觉性。教学过程Step .Lead in1.T:(Greet the class.)Hello, everyone! Good morning/afternoon!Ss: Good morning/afternoon! Mr./Ms.T: Look at the topic today.“Dont eat in class.” So, today were talking about school rules. What rules do we have in our school?(Show pictures to help review the verbs or phrases.)T: Can we get to school at nine oclock?Ss: No, we cant.T: Can we eat food in the classroom?Ss: No, we cant.T: Can we play in class?Ss: No, we must listen to the teacher.2.The teacher talks with the students and then says:T: We have a lot of school rules. Lets learn to say them in English.3.The teacher uses pictures or gestures to teach the new phrases about school rules.Get the class into the new units learning.设计意图引导学生复习can和相关动词或短语,从谈论能不能做某事,进入单元内容学习。Step .New words (1a)1.Use pictures or real things to present new words and phrases.T:(Point to the watch.)Our class starts at 8:30. Dont arrive late for class.8:35 is late.8:40 is late. If you come at 8:35,youre late for classyoure five minutes late for class. Youre breaking the school rules! (Write “the school rules” on the blackboard.)If you come at 8:40,youre ten minutes late for school.(Write “late for school” on the blackboard.)Can you read this,please? This rule says,“Dont arrive late for class.” We cant arrive late for class. We must be on time.(Say it again in Chinese and write “be on time” on the blackboard.)Ss read and say the rules.T: Can we eat in the classroom?Ss: No, we cant.T: Can we eat in the dining hall?(Write “dining hall” and show the picture of a dining hall.)Ss: Yes, we can.T: This is another school rule. It says,“Dont eat in the classroom. You must eat in the dining hall.” Can you read this rule, please?Ss read the rule and learn the phrases.2.The teacher shows the pictures of the school rules. Get the students to read them aloud and say the Chinese meanings.T: Now please open your books and look at the rules in the box next to the picture. Can you read these rules and say their Chinese meanings?Ss read and say their Chinese meanings.T: Look at the students in the picture. Which rules are these students breaking? Write the number of the rule next to the student.Ss do the job in their seats.3.Check the students job numbering the children in the picture. And then learn the new phrases in the rules.T: Can we read these school rules and learn them? We can learn new words in groups of words but not one word by one word.The teacher should help students to learn the phrases.设计意图运用实物和图片学习短语,精讲多练。提醒学生学习短语要整体记忆,不能单个词语记忆。Step .Listening (1b)1.Before listeningThe teacher tells the class that three students are breaking the rules and writesthe three names on the blackboard.T: Now three students are breaking the rules. Theyre Peter, Amy and Mike. What rules are they breaking? Listen to the recording and write down the notes. You can write down one or two key words like this “Peter: run”.2.While listeningPlay the tape for the students to write down the key words. Then play the recording again. Students check their answers with their partners.3.T:Look at your notes. What rules are the three students breaking? Can you answer me in full sentences?T: What rule is Peter breaking?S1: Hes running in the hallways.T: What about Amy? Is it OK to eat in the classroom?S2:No.We cant eat in the classroom. We must eat in the dining hall.T: What rule is Mike breaking?S3:Hes listening to music in class.T: Now can you finish the task in 2b?Write the numbers of rules after the names.4.After the students finish the task, ask them some questions to help them learn the proper forms of polite language.T: Are Peter and Amy polite to the teacher?Ss: Yes, they are.T: Why do you think so?Ss: They say “Sorry” to the teacher.T: Does Mike say “Sorry” to the teacher?Ss: No,he doesnt.T: Why doesnt he say “Sorry”?Ss: Because he is listening to music and he cant hear the teacher.Remind them of the polite ways when breaking the rules.T: When you break the rules and someone reminds you, you must say “Sorry”.设计意图听前让学生知道要听到的内容,教会记笔记,为听力做准备,通过英语与学生对话,让学生习得礼貌语言,使听力训练和语言表达同时达到。Step .Post-listening Activities (1c)1.After listening, get the class to read the rules again aloud. And then talk about the rules with T: Now lets talk about the school rules. Please remember them.(To different students)What are the rules,S1?S1:Well,we cant arrive late for class.T: Can we run in the hallways?S2:No,we cant.T: Can we eat in the classroom?S3:No,we cant. We must eat in the dining hall.T: Can we?/What about?2.Then practice the conversations, talking about rules in 1a.T: If one of you is a new student in our class and doesnt know the school rules, can you tell him or her about these rules? Please make up conversations in pairs. When we talk about the rules, we say “cant” instead of “dont”.And we say “must” to express what we need to do. For example:We cant eat in the classroom. We must eat in the dining hall.3.T:Now some of the pairs act out the conversations.设计意图学生在听后,朗读rules加深印象,老师讲清语言点并与学生示范对话,然后让学生进行口语表达rules的训练。Step .Summary and Assignment1.T:Today we have learned to talk about school rules.
