Unit 2 Ill help to clean up the city parks. (1a1c)教学设计 红安县永河中学 程芝 教材分析:本单元的主题涉及到援助与关爱(help and love),教材Section A 部分1a1c活动旨在呈现、学习不同援助方式的英语表述,为词汇输入阶段,也是目标语言的初步感知阶段;2a2d活动通过听说练习此前所学词汇的表述,并在听说训练过程中体会不定时和短语动词的用法;3a3c活动通过阅读强化对单元主题的内容及语言项目的理解,为后续的语法总结归纳做好铺垫。Section A 部分的教学重点是学习情态动词的could表达建议,正确使用有关援助的表述、短语动词以及相关表达中的动词不定时。本部分的学习难点是动词不定时的在英语句子中的成分与作用,以及不同动词短语的含义与搭配。在教学本单元时,教师应充分利用话题内容的优势引导学生探索、讨论互相关爱及援助的价值和意义,渗透人文关怀和道德观念的培养。教学设计理念: 坚持以生为本,面向全体学生;注重语言实践,习得语言能力;注重学习策略,培养自学能力;渗透语言文化,形成跨文化意识;渗透情感教育,关注品德养成。教学目标: 1、知识目标: 能熟练掌握并运用下列词汇和短语:volunteer, cheer, cheer up, clean up, give out. 能运用下列句型谈论向他人提供帮助及提出如何帮助他人的建议: I hope toI want to Id like to You could 2、能力目标:能听懂谈论提供帮助和提出如何帮助他人的建议的四段小对话;能看图预测能谈论如何帮助他人并向别人提出如何帮助他人的建议。 3、情感态度与价值观:培养学生乐于助人的志愿精神。了解志愿服务和志愿者相关文化现象。 教学重点: 学习用情态动词could表达建议及want/hope/would like to 表达帮助他人的想法。 教学难点:掌握志愿服务的大量的相关词汇和表达。 教学过程Step1 Lead-in 1.Greet students. 2.Boys and girls, look at me, what am I ?(volunteer) Yes, Im a volunteer of Susong. (show the pictures about “Susong Volunteer”) This weekend “Ill help to clean up the city parks.” Do you want to be a volunteer like me?Step2 BrainstomWhat could we do to help others? At school, what could we do? Outside school, what could we do? Step3 Listening practice(1b) 1.Pre-listening (look at the picture and predict the conversation) Look at the picture in 1a and guess:What would the boy /the girl like to do? What could the boy/the girl do in todays volunteer? S:Maybe the boy/the girl would like to The girl /The boy could 2.While-listening The first listening: number the pictures The second listening: fill in the blanks The third listening: Play a game to ask Ss to retell the conversations. Play As sentence and stop the recording ,then ask the students to give A advice using “You could ” after that, compare it with the recording.3.Post-listening a.Pair work: practice conversations with your partners like this: A:I want to /Id like to /I hope to B: You could b.Ask some pairs to show their conversations. Step4 Group work 1.This weekend the Association of Susong Volunteer is going to have a volunteering activity. Here are the four activities .And each group of you will take part in one of the activities. But what could we do? Please have a discussion in your groups. Which activity would you like to take part in? and what could you do? A: Id like to because B: I want to because C: I hope to becauseD: I think wed better(最好)If we ,we could A: I think we could 2. Lets enjoy volunteering.(music爱的奉献) Step 5 Listening 1. 2a: T: A group of students are planning a City Park Clean-up Day. Listen and check () the things they are going to do to tell people about it. 1. Look at the pictures in 2a. Discuss the things they are going to do. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and check the pictures. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers.Answers: b, c, e2. 2b: 1. Let Ss read the sentences below. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. Make sure they know what to do. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to write the correct words in the blanks. 1. Let one pair to read out their conversation first. e.g. A: We need to come up with a plan for the City Park Clean-Up Day. B: Lets have lunch first. A: No, we need to start now. Clean-Up Day is only two weeks from now. B: Youre right. We cant put off making a plan. As we talk, Ill write down all our ideas. Then we can decide which ideas are best. A: Lets make some notices, too. Then Ill hand them out after school. B: And we could each call up ten students and ask them to come. 3. Ss act the conversation in pairs. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations. Step7 Reading and Role-play 1. Read the conversations and answer the two questions: Wheres Helen going to work this summer? _ What did Tom do to help the old people? _ Answers: Shes going to work in an old peoples home. Reading the newspaper or just talking to the old people.2. Read the conversation after the teacher. 3. Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation.
