He was doing homework when his mother came home.他妈妈回家时他在做作业。b. While he was doing homework, his mother came home.他在做作业时，妈妈回来了。（3）一般过去时与过去进行时的区别 过去进行时表示过去正在进行的动作，而一般过去时则表示过去一个完整的动作。例如：a. Li Lei was writing a letter to his parents at eight last night. 昨晚八点李磊再给他父母写信，（说明过去在写信，不涉及信是否完成）b.
