用心 爱心 专心2 1 Brainstorm the vocabulary that is used to describe people s characteristics Encourage students to explain each word to their classmates eg creative imaginative out going easy going patient stubborn practical modest energetic selfish confident curious 2 Revise the new words Ask individuals to spell out one by one Then discuss the English meanings and choose the right one for each word on the reading passage on page 8and 9 If students have different answers ask them to discuss the answers 2 Ask students to pick five characteristics that describe themselves and write them in the blanks in part D1 Tell less able students to refer to the reading passage on pages 8and 9 if they need help with ideas 3 Now ask students to read the description of their star sign on pages 8and 9 Ask them to write whether the characteristics listed under their star sign match the characteristics they have listed eg My characteristics I am good at sports I like playing football very much I always plan
