Earth Day 教学设计 School No 96 Middle School Teacher 徐丹翌 设计理念 根据新课标的要求 在多种阅读技巧的帮助下结合思维导图的 的理解方式使学生在一定时间内对所给材料进行深刻的理解 同时要 达 到以读促写的教学目的 使学生的写作能力在读的基础上有所提升 课型 阅读课 教材内容分析 这篇文章作文一篇说明文介绍地球日的时间以及发源地 以及人们在这一天经常所在的事情 还给出了具体的人们可做的事情 让学生学习后 真真正正的了解我们地球所面临的问题 加强对学生的德 育教育的同时也让学生知道怎样去做才是对地球有意义的行为 同时具体 的做法也给学生提供了环保话题作文的素材 Topic Earth Day Teaching aims 1 Understand the passage 2 Practice students four skills 3 Learn about the importance of protecting our environment Key points 1 Some useful expressions like clean up learn about pick up turn off think of as 2 Numbers reading Difficult points 1 Understand the whole passage t 2 Use the key words given on the blackboard to retell the passage 3 Writing their own passage about protecting our environment Teaching methods Reading Exercising Retelling Writing Helper Computer cards Teaching process Step 1 Lead in 1 Greetings 2 T Before our new lesson I want to know a secret about you Whose birthday is it today Situation1 If several students were born on the same day I will say So many students were on the same day let s sing Happy birthday to them after the song I will say Today is special for them actually there are so many special days let s see what special days are they Situation 2 If only one student say Yes I will give him or her a hug then say we have the same birthday Today is special for us Would you like to sing Happy birthday to us after the song I will say Today is special for us actually there are so many special days let s see what special days are they Situation 3 If nobody was born on the day I will say today is special for me because it is my birthday would you like to sing Happy birthday to me after the song I will say actually there are so many special days let s see what special days are they 在这一环节教师要预设到学生可能 会出现的几种答案 另外利用问生日引入话题能激起学生对 本节课的兴趣 积极主动的参与学习活动中来 有利于下面 教学活动的展开 3 Show them pictures about Christmas Day Tree Planting Day Earth Day When they answer Earth Day I will tell them we will start Unit 10 Lesson 2 stick the card with Earth Day on the blackboard at the same time 利用 学生熟知的节日让学生对新课不具有陌生感 Step 2 Skimming T Open your books to page71 skim the passage and try to find out the general idea of the passage choose the correct answer on the screen Before they read explain skimming to them Skimming means you should read the passage as quickly as you can Step 3 Scanning After skimming Go to step scanning T You have to scan the whole passage Scanning means you have to read the whole passage as carefully as you can But this time you can read paragraph by paragraph and there will be several questions in each paragraph Show questions on the screen Questions will appear paragraph by paragraph After they deal with each paragraph one student will be asked to read it Three paragraphs will be delt with like this at the same time when students answer the questions I will stick the cards with key words on the blackboard and the cards are not the same color the same color stands for the information about one paragtaph 细读是阅读的重要环节 所有问题一次性出现难免增加学生 阅读负担 分段出现是化难为简的有效方法 Step 4 Exercise After canning I will say you did a nice job now let s do some exercise to see if all of you have understood all the passage better A table with the information about earth day will be shown on the screen 此题不易过难 最好能通过回忆就能想出答案 让学生有学习后的成就感 Step5 Retelling After they finish filling tell them it s time for retelling tell them to try to retell the passage using the key words on the blackboard given by me if they have difficulty retelling the whole passage I will tell them to retell one paragraph each time and I will give them an example 这一环节有些 难 教师给学生示范让学生通过模仿达到练习的目的 Step6 Practice After retelling practice writing Ask them to finish writing an E mail according to the Chinese and English information Ask one student read the information 通过这个练习检验学生是否能用所学材料为写服务 教师是否实现了预设目标 以读促写 Step7 Summary Time to summarize ask them what they learn from the lesson now I will stand before the picture formed with the cards that I sticked on the blackboard after their summary I will give them a sentence on the blackboard If everyone makes a contribution to our planet our living environment will become more and more be
