Today, its a pleasure for me to stand here and Im very pleased to have such an opportunity to share some of my teaching ideas with you. First, let me introduce myself. My names Shang Tingting, and Im working as an English teacher in He Long Middle School. Our school is in Marshal He Longs hometown. Part 1 Analysis of the Teaching Material Function and status. The topic here is about entertainments. There are many TV shows and movies in this unit. Its exciting for students to talk about them. Because they are related to students daily life, especially cartoon. So they have a lot to say. Teaching Aims and Demands. By learning this article, students can grasp some new words and phrases. There are also some modern technologies to help students understand the article better, like video, audio and pictures. Teaching Keys and Difficult Points. Students can grasp the basic knowledge points and read the article fluently. Also, they have to grasp the reading strategies, like scanning and skimming. After class, the must learn the ways to introduce their favorite cartoons.Part 2 The Teaching Methods.Communicative, audio-visual, task-based and classified teaching methods.Part 3 Studying Ways. Some simple tasks can be done by students themselves. Some need them to work in pairs or groups. Others are a little difficult that need them to think over.Part 4 Teaching Steps.I. Lead-in.1. Ask a group leader to check the new words.2. Some questions are easy for all to talk about. And there are two pictures to introduce the background of the reading parts. Not only do they see some pictures, but also there are several listening tasks.II. Presentation and Practice. 1. Before reading, we can see a short film, Steamboat Willie. Then answer the questions below. They may have more interests in class.2. While reading, students scan the article first. Then we skim it again to find out some answers of 2b, 2c and 2d by working with group members. They discuss these questions carefully and can gather their bests.3. After reading, listen to the tape. Review what we have learned in this class.III. Summarize and Consolidation.There are some exercises about language points of this class.We will check the scores they get and the winner can have the right to choose which cartoon to see. IV. Homework.After class, students must want to talk
