Help Ss to express preferences on different things in daily life , using the target language .2.Train Sss ability to understand the target language in spoken conversation.3.Talk about why they like the band ,the book and the movie ,using the sentences with relative clause.2、 能力目标1 Main Aim: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to use the relative clauses that related to favorite things in spoken form.2 Subsidiary Aim: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to listen for gist, detail and specific information in the context of favorite things.3、 情感目标Lets enjoy life. It always brings us happiness.二 、教学重、难点:To learn to understand and use relative clauses with that/who 三、教学方法:“五步、双重教学法”四、教具准备: 多媒体使用:五、教学过程:(一)复习旧知Ask the following questions on CDs, groups, singers and musicians. Help Ss to answer with the target language.Whats the name of your favorite CD?Why do you like it?What kind of CDs do you like? Why ?What kind of singers do you like ?What kind of groups do you like ? Why?(2) 新课导学Step 2 Whats your favorite band / movie/book? Why?1. Let one of Ss answers it .Then repeat the questions on favorite book and favorite movie. 2. Ask ss to fill the chart. Write names of your favorite band, book,and movie.(3) 自学新知Step 3 1. Look at the picture in 2a. How many things are there in the picture? What are they? Listen to the tape and write the things they talked about.2. Describe the things in the picture.E.g.: The jacket is unusual. The movie poster is about monsters. Then listen to the tape, and write down the reasons why Michael likes them.(4) 检测新学Step 4 Groupwork1. Present the dialogue in this activity with a student firstT:I like movies that are romantic that have big wars.S: Oh , I dont . I like movies that have big wars .I really like The Doctor-A Real Solider.2. Then ask Ss to open the books on Page 47.Read the instructions in activity 2c. Say, we will discuss our favorite things from activity 1 and say why we like each thing.3. Ask two Ss to read the sample conversation .Then ask Ss to discuss their favorite bands, books and movies in groups of four . Try to use the sentences with the relative clause to help make conversations. Ask one or two groups to speak out their conversations.(5) 巩固新知 改成定语从句1. The man is my brother. He is standing under the tree.2. I like musicians. Musicians write their own songs.3. He cant stand the music. The music is too loud.4. This is my sister.
