2017 年圣诞晚会讲话稿Good evening everyone,How are you tonight?“Good”Good? Good is not good enough. At least better than good. So one more time, how you are tonight?“Fantastic! Fabulous! Wonderful! Marvelous! ”Thats better. Thank you.It is that time of the year again. This is the third time for me to attend our annual event here at Pickle Barrel. When I look back, I feel time flies. It is unbelievable, 2017 is almost coming to the end. How many of you do feel that time goes by very fast?Ooh, a lot of you, that is not a good thing. Many studies indicate that only when you reach certain age, you start to feel time flies. In another word, you may close to my age, or as old as I am. But dont worry, I am not that old after all.While you are sitting comfortably with your friends, colleagues, enjoying your chatting and each others company, I have a question for you: how do you feel right now?“Feeling good”Well, that is not the word I am looking for. Ok, let me tell you how I feel. I feel at home!For the last two and a half year, I have learned one thing, and that is, our organization with more 80 people, as a whole, has given me a sense of family. We spend 8 hours a daily together; we help each other when needed; we look after each other; we contribute to the entire office one way or another to make it a better place to work; and most importantly, we share a common vision and mission.By the way, what is our vision?No one has the answer? That is ok. It is a little too heavy to talk about our vision tonight at such a event. So lets talk about something else.When you look at our workplace as a family, you will see many beautiful things that happen just like in a family.For example, you know that Jessica has a few plants in her office. After 4 weeks vacation, Jessica was scheduled to return to work Tuesday, to welcome her back, guess what happened Monday? 5 people holding her plants one after another marched, I mean like marching, to the kitchen to get water, and cleaned her plants and her desk. What amazed me is not only what they did, but also their willingness to help and happiness to see Jessica back.Family also is a place where you learn, grow, and develop. The ability that you guys have to learn is amazing. This Wednesday, our Wellness Committee held an afternoon high tea session, to prepare for the event, I donated 40 dollars, and asked the committee members to purchase some refreshments. They came back with two bags, full of chocolates, candies and other stuff. They said to me: Puxing, here is the change. You guess how much is the change?“One dollar, two dollars.”No, it is 5 cents. Their budgeting skill is at another level, far beyond my reach. I am sure they learned how to manage money from each other at the family of workplace.Family is also a place where unforgettable memories are being created. You know that I can drink water all day long, I mean hot water. That is why I go to the kitchen and washroom very often. Yesterday afternoon, as usual, I went to the kitchen, holding my cup to get hot water. A kettle of water was just boiled, and a few people were there in the kitchen. I held the kettle, poured the boiling hot water into my cup, and I drank it. Let me be clear, it is boiling hot water.At that moment, June looked at me, no, she was staring at me with her eyes and mouth widely open, saying: Puxing, you just drank that boiling hot water? “why not, I responded”. “You are not my supervisor, you are my superman!”I am not sure if I will be able to become a superman by drinking hot water. But I wanted to warn you: do not drink boiling hot water, unless you have some cold water in your cup first.The beauty of family is needless to say.
