Ss will learn some key color words: cold, cool, warm, hot. It is required that Ss should learn to describe the weather surrounding them by using these key words. Whats more, Ss can put the key sentence pattern “Its . in .” into practice. 二、教学目标(Teaching objectives)Knowledge objectives:1. Ss can master the key words: hot, cold, warm, cool, weather.2. Ss can grasp the key sentence pattern: Its warm/ cool/ . in Beijing/ Lhasa/ .Ability objectives:1. Ss can introduce the weather in different places by using the function sentence “Its . in .” correctly.2. Ss can know a little about the climate features of some cities in China.Emotional objectives:1. Ss can learn to wear the suitable clothes according to the different weather.2. Ss are able to participate in the classroom activities actively.3. Ss team cooperation consciousness can be enhanced and improve their own self-learning ability.三、学习者特征分析(Analysis of students) Ss of Grade Four have deep interest in learning English, however,there are some other students who have difficulty in learning English. Therefore T should teach them in accordance of their aptitude, psychological and physiological characteristics. Ss havent learnt the weather before, so T can guide them to learn the new knowledge actively by using some activities, such as observing, guessing, singing and so on. T can create a real situation to encourage Ss to speak out what they want to express.Ss can communicate with others in daily life, thus their learning interest and enthusiasm can be cultivated well.四、教学策略选择与设计(Teaching strategies and methods)1. Total Physical Reaction: It can help Ss come into the real learning situation more quickly.2. Group work: It can develop Ss team spirit. Ss consciousness of working with partners and communicating with others can be fostered in this process.3. Task-based teaching method: In the process of completing the tasks of different stages, Ss can not only focus on the teachers teaching actively, but also get a sense of achievement.五、教学重点及难点(Teaching key and difficult points)1. Teaching key points:Ss can grasp the four weather words “hot, cold, warm, cool”and put them into real practice.Ss can put the main sentence pattern into real situation correctly.2. Teaching difficult points:Ss can introduce the weather when given a map of the weather freely and correctly.Ss should pay attention to the pronunciation of these weather words.六、教学过程(Teaching procedures)教学流程教师活动学生活动学习评价方式与意图Step 1: Warming-up1. T greets Ss.T: Now lets begin our class. Stand up, please! Hello, boys and girls!T: Nice to meet you.2. PK between boys and girls.T asks Ss to have a PK between boys and girls. T says “You should try to make the temperature higher and higher.”3. Watch a video.T plays a video about “weather”.1. Ss talk with T in English.Ss: Hello, teacher.Ss: Nice to meet you, too.2. Ss are encouraged to take an active part in the classroom activities.3. Ss sing and do some actions together. Greetings between T and Ss can help Ss step into English-learning atmosphere naturally.T encourages Ss to finish drawing the thermometer during this class. It can arouse Ss enthusiasm of taking part in the class.Ss of Grade Four likes watching interesting flash video and they are happy to think about the question in this way.Step2: Presentation & Practice1. Lead-inT:Its a beautiful song. Whats the song about? Do you know? Today we will learn “Weather”. 2. Learn the new wordweather.T presents some words they have learned before to Ss: “father, mother, brother”. T asks “How is the weather today?”3. Enjoy the sceneryT guides Ss to enjoy the beautiful scenery.4. T plays the weather report.5. Practice the key vocabulary and sentences.1. Ss think about the question carefully after watching the video.2. Ss learn to speak the word “weather”.Ss try to say “Its . in Nanling today.”3. Ss look at these pictures carefully and learn about the four cities.4. Ss listen to the weather report carefully.5. Ss look at the pictures and answer the questions.Setting up a situation for Ss can stimulate students learning interest and curiosity. In this way, Ss can pronounce the new word easily.It paves the way for the following teaching.Ss can enhance their love for our motherland in the process of enjoying the scenery.Presenting the main content in this way can help Ss understand the new knowledge better.According to the pictures, Ss can grasp the key language points easily.Step3: Consolidation & Extension1. Lets chant.T: Boys and girls, lets chant and clap hands together, ok?2. Challenge 1 - high and low voice T: Lets play a game called high and low voice. I read the word in a loud voice, you read it in a low voice.3. Challenge 2 - pass the ball T: Boys and girls. Lets read the weather report together and pass the ball. And when I say “stop”, the S who has the ball should stand up and act as the weather reporter saying “. ”.1. Ss chant and clap hands together.2. Ss take an active part in the game. 3. Ss speak out the weather report as they pass the ball. “Goodmorning. This is the weather report. Its _ in _ today.”Chanting can reinforce the key knowledge points what Ss have learned.It can not only attract Ss attention, but also test Ss reaction of the words.In the period of playing the interesting game, Ss master the main sentence patterns and try to be good weather reporters.Step 4: Summing-up & Assessment1. T guides Ss to summarize the main vocabulary and sentence patterns.2. T gets Ss to have a self-evaluation.1. Ss summarize the main knowledge points with the help of T.2. Ss evaluate their performances of this class.It can be of great help for Ss to summarize the main content at the end of the class.On the one hand, the effective assessment can arouse students learning enthusiasm, on the other hand, its good encouragement and appreciation of team spirit.Step 5: Homework1. Ss do the relevant exercises.2. There are differences between the easy tasks and difficult ones. In my mind, this can encourage students to complete more hard tasks. Students potential can be fully exploited .Secondly, I give different levels of students different assessment.Even though the students of low ability can not have a perfect answer, I still praise their attitude.However, its necessary to have a strict demand in the outstanding students. I guide them to have a better answer. In this way, the backward students can regain the learning interest and confidence and the excellent students can make more progress in learning.Thirdly, I let students participate in classroom assessment. Students take part in the assessment in the form of self-evaluation and mutual evaluation, which can help students reflect and adjust their learning behavior.Lastly, there are some problems in the classroom assessment. Some language of evaluating students group work is too simple. I didnt remind students and correct the mistakes they made
