Im 44 years old this year. I was born in 1969. I was born in Huaying City.My hometown is Huaying . What about you ?Were you born in Huaying? If the students cant understand it. Help the students answer.Tell them the meaning “ was born” and why we use “ was” here.be-was,wereStep 3 Learning new words.Then let the students practice in pairs .Step 4 Listening (Act.1) Let the students listen to tape carefully and Match the photos with the sentences.Step 5 Listening (Act.2)Let the students listen and match .Step 6 Listening and reading (Act.3)First, let the students listening to the tape and reading the passage carefully ,Then ask and answer these questions in pairs .Step 7 Speaking(Act.5) Let the students listen to the tape and notice the stressed words.Step 8 Ask and answer Work in pairs .Ask and answer the questions about your past life.Step 9 Homework Finish off the workbook exercises .Step 2 Learning the new words. Finish off the Act.4And Step 7 Speaking(Act.5) Listen to the tape and notice the stressed words.Step 8 Ask and ansewr Tell the rest of the class about your past life Step 9 Homework Finish off the workbook exercisesStep 2谈论有关家乡的话题,学习短语be born的用法,引出be 的一般过去时的形式。Step 3谈论学生自己或朋友或老师的性格,掌握短语be like和 be strict in sth./with sb.的用法。Steps 4-5训练学生听力。Step 培养学生的阅读能力和理解能力。Step记忆be 的过去式。Step 3学生多练习短语be like和 be strict in sth./with sb,达到熟能生巧Steps 4-5要求学生多看英语频道的节目,培养学生的用英语交流的能力。Step 要求学生多阅读英语文章。板书设计Module 7 My past life Unit 1 I was born in a small village一:动词be的一般过去式was/were。在变否定时,直接在be(was/were)在后面加not构成。即Was+not=wasnt。和were+not=werent。在变疑问时,直接将be(was/were)提到主语前面。例如:1.肯定:I was born in Huaying.否定:I was not n(wast) born in Huaying.疑问:Were you born in Huaying ?回答:Yes,I was ./No,I wasnt.特殊:Where were you born ?2.肯定:There were fifteen buildings in our school.否定:There were not (werent)fifteen buildings in our school.疑问:Were there fifteen buildings in our school?回答:Yes,there were./No,there werent.特殊:How many buildings were there
