Section A period 1The analyses about teaching contentThis lesson is the first period of Unit 9, its mainly about peoples looks. It aims to let the students learn to talk about peoples height, build and hair. So the content is close to students life and it is not difficult for them to express themselves with simple English. The analyses about students.The students basic knowledge and skills are not so good.Many of them are afraid to express themselves in front of others. But they are leaning to express themselves with the help of the teacher.And the topic of this lesson will interest them,because when I design it, I use lots of pictures that theyre interested in and I also design some tasks to present by themselves.Teaching aims1. knowledge and skills: 1)Master the words and sentences about looks. 2)Can describe peoples looks by speaking and writing. 3)Can use the listening skills: cess and methods: 1) group work. 2)use the mind map to sum up. 3) task-based approach. 4)listening,speaking,and writing3.emotion, attitude and value:No matter what we look like,the best things in life are kindness and diligence. And always remember loving our parents. Look at the pictures and tell which one Miss Luo is. 2. Look at anther 3 pictures that were taken at different times and ask a question to lead in the topic: Do I look the same at different times? Purpose:To arouse the students interest and lead in the topic naturally.Teaching processTask1:A game1.Look at the pictures and use a word (a phrase, a sentence)to describe the persons looks(外表,外貌) in the pictures.2.Put up your hand and speak out.3.One word 1 point, one phrase 2 points, one sentence 3 points.Purpose:Check the students self-learning task before the lesson to learn about the self-learning effect.Ask the students to read 1a and 1c together after student A. Purpose:Let the students go back to the text and be familiar with again the words and sentences about looks. And let the students get ready for Task 2.Task 2 :Sum up(总结) the words about looks by using the mind map(思维导图).1.5mins to finish it in groups(with the help of 1a and 1c on P49 ).(Include(包含): height, build, hair, glasses.)2.Write it on your white board.3.Choose one to present the result of your groups summary(总结).Purpose: Let the students calm down after the game in Task1 and sum up the words and the usage of verbs by a mind map in groups, so they remember them better.Task3: Listening1. Read it silently(默默地),tell the listening skills.2. 2mins for you.Purpose: to master the words and sentences about looks further and practice the listening skills.Task4: Describe persons.WritingTask A:If its 2030 now, what does your mother/father look like?Task B: Describe your favorite persons.1.choose one of the tasks. 2. 5mins. 3.Ask your group mates for help.Purpose:check their learning effects further by writing after learning the words and sentences about looks by listening and speaking.Sum upSum up with the students together.A song for you.Listen to a songDanced with my fatherPurpose:To let the students learn be grateful and always love their parents even they get old.Homework:1.Recite the words in Unit9 110. 2.Finish the Exercise book P9394 Period 1 3.Write a short passage to describe your family members.1. Show three photos(two of them are the teachers sisters )and ask: Which one is Miss Luo? 2. Show anther 3 pictures of Miss Luo which were taken at different times. And ask: Do I look the same at different times?And then lead in the topic.3.Let the students read the title two times and tell the Chinese meaning and at the same time the teacher writes it down on the blackboard.1.Ask the students to look at the pictures and just put up hands to describe the persons by a word, a sentence or a sentence:What does he/she look like?Before Task 2, ask the students to read 1a and 1c together after student A. 1.Ask the students to finish task2 and make the students be clear about the requirements of the task.And then the teacher joins the group work and gives some advice when necessary.2. After 23mins, ask one student to write the mind map on the blackboard.3.Times up.The teacher asks some students to present the mind map and makes a judgment.1.Before listening, ask the students to read the listening materials and think about the listening skills.And then ask some of them to tell the listening skills.2.Play the listening materials. 3.Asks some students to present the answers and make a judgment.4.Ask the students to read it together.1.Ask the students to finish task4 as the directions.And the teacher joins the group work and gives some advice when necessary.2.The teacher asks some students to present their writings and guides all the students to check them together.The teacher guides the students to sum up.The teacher shows 3 pictures of herself at different times and play the song Danced with my father. And tell the students:All of us will get old, but the best things in life are kindness and diligence. And always remember loving our parents even they become old and ugly because of life.The teacher presents the homework.1.The students look at the pictures and find out which one Miss Luo is and answer together.2.The students look at the 3 pictures and answer the question together:Do I look the same at different times?3.The students read the title together and translate the title into Chinese.1.The students look at the pictures and put up their hands to answer: tall,heavy,short hair,He is. She has.The students read 1a and 1c together after student A.1. The students discuss it in groups to draw the mind map.2. 23mins later, one student writes the mind map on the blackboard.3.Some students present their mind maps and check them together.1.The students read and think.And then some of them share their ideas about listening skills. 2.The students listen to the listening materials twice.3.Some students present their answers and check together. 4.All the students read it together and pay attention to the verbs.1. The students begin to write their short articles.And they can ask the teacher and the gro
