人教版Go for it!七年级下册Unit5 Section B(1a-1d/3a/3b) 广东省肇庆市高要区白诸镇初级中学 何锡琴学情分析我所教学的对象是初一学生(以中层生为主),对英语普遍感兴趣,但有很大的不稳定性,好奇心强,求知欲旺盛,他们学习英语既感到好奇又担忧,希望能得到他人的肯定。因此我在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感,通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。提高他们综合运用语言的能力,使各层次的学生都有所收获。Teaching aims and demands:Master the description words for the animals and talk about the animals.Learn to write a description of an animal. Teaching important points: Talk about the animals with the description words. Teaching difficult points: Talk about the animals with the description words. Write a description of an animal.Teaching Procedures:Step 1 Lead-inShow some phrases and sentences about animals to the Ss and let them guess the meanings. Get to know that we can use the animals to describe some situations or some kind of people, thus to lead in this topic-How to describe animals. Step 2 Presentation1. Learn some description words to describe animals.Show some pictures of animals and let them say out some description words. Teach Ss the new words. 2. Sum up the description words. Let Ss read aloud the words.3. Do 1a. Pay attention to the animals in the pictures in 1a and try to match the description words with the animals.One students answer is showed to the others. Then the teacher and students together check the answers. Point out that the answers arent unique because we could use different words to describe the animals.4.Work on 1bSs listen and try to circle the adjectives in 1a. Play the recording again for the Ss to check the answers. 5.Work on 1c(1)Call attention to the three headings-Animal, Marias Words and Tonys Words.(2)Listen to the recording. This time please write the words they say. Then check the answers. Step 3 Consolidation1.Do 1d in pair work. Talk about the animals you know with your partner. Consolidate the important sentences in this topic.What animals do you like? I like .Why.? Because. 2.Guessing Game.Task: to describe a kind of animal(1)Before doing this game, some pictures are showed on the scream and the whole class try to guess what animals they are.(2)After that, each group is given a paper with the description of one kind of animal on it. The group members are required to talk about the animal and add some more description if they could.(3)Then, guessing game begins and each group try the best to describe the animals while the other groups guess what animal it is, thus to get as many points as possible for their group.(4)Game is over and the winner group get the applause from the other groups. Step 4 PracticeDo 3a as the preparation for writing. Ss are required to fill in the blanks. Then one student read out his /her answers. Check the answers together. Step 4 Sum upDo 3b. Write a description for your favorite animal.Writing tips: Use some questions to lead to considerate what should we write about the animal. Then an example description is showed to the class. After reading the passage together, the teacher and Ss together find out the elements in writing.
