Motivation of the research on humorHumor makes people laugh and keeps them in good mood; it can relieve stress and improve interpersonal relationship. Humor language is a best part of human language, a representation of humor wisdom. So there is an idea to study humor and write something about it so that there are more and more people have a further understanding on humor, leading them to be happy every time and everywhere. The cognitive interpretation of the understanding of humorous language, therefore, becomes one of the intensely researched areas of language study. From ancient to now, whether abroad or at home, there are plenty of researches on humor.2. The researches on humor abroadAs for humor, there are some foreign researches in psychology, aesthetics, linguistics, and so on. In the late 17th century, humor began to be used in aesthetics filed, representing behaviors,styles of conversation, and features of making people happy and diversion. In 1695, William Congreve, British famous comedist, had written the book of Theory of comedy in the sense of humor, definitely regarded humor as persons character, discriminated what were humor language and humor behavior, and also concerned the authors humor. This period is the mutual effect time with the physiology meaning of humor desalinating and the aesthetics meaning consolidating continually. In the view of linguistics, Raskins Script Theory of Humor(SSTH) and Attardo and Raskins General Theory of Verbal Humor(GTVH) are the important theories for humor research from the angle of semantics. Ruskin, the first one , posed the Script Theory of Humor(SSTH), which pointed that humor regards more than two scripts or the oppose, repetition and transition between frames as the center. It used script to illustrate the appearance of humor. Words are script. We use the panel point of vocabulary and the graph the semantic chain formed to state the concept of script. Semantic Script Theory of Humor thought that script opposite is one of the most important factors of language humor, but it ignored other factors which also have influence on language humor. There are two categories about humor language in traditional pragmatic researches: one is to apply the basic theory of traditional pragmatic to unscramble humor mechanism; another is the relationship between humor and pragmatic parameter. In the researches of humor mechanism, Grices Cooperative Principle, Austins Verbal Behavior Theory and Sperber and Wilsons Relevant Theory, all those are common. Grice, American philosophy professor, concluded peoples communicative behavior and posed Cooperative Principle, which includes four basic criterions: the Maxim of Quality, the Maxim of Quantity, the Maxim of Relation, the Maxim of Manner. Mr Tudor used the way of violating Cooperative Principle to declare the contradictions of humor communication. Austins Verbal Behavior Theory pointed that once the speaker talked about something meaningful,that is to say, the speaker had put some behavior into effect, which is the language behavior. The Relevant Theory was pointed by Sperber and Wilson. According to the Cognitive Principle, peoples cognization will maximize the relevance. While from the view of social intercourse, Relevant Theory existed in all language deduction, it is the synthesis of all the following: language, thought, memory, sound, smell and so on. From the angle of cognitive linguistic, there are some cognitive linguistic theory such as the Frame theory, the Schema theory, the Conceptual Blending Theory and so on. The framework was a kind of cognitive model and the characterization of conviction and knowledge which specific situations owned. Every frame includes some frame elements, and the appearance of every element will activate other elements of this framework, and arouse the similar situations. Minsky used the framework switch to illustrate the semantic transition in humor language. Colson analyzed humor with the theory of the Conceptual Blending Theory.3.The researches on humor at homeAt home, the researches on humor having been studied from 1990s presents the trend of various views and administrative levels. Humor was studied from the aspects of pragmatics, semantics, psychological cognization and figure of speech. There are some researches on humor : From the view of pragmatics, Liu Changfus Look from the cooperative principle of English humor, he discussed the produce of English humor by violating Cooperative Principles four basic criterion; Lu Guangdans The pragmatic analysis of English humor is from the aspects of Cooperative Principle, Conversational Implicature, Premise, Deixis, Speech Act and so on to analyse humor, and elucidate the produce of humor. On one hand, it can not be separated with the inner rules of language; on the other hand, at a large extent it depended on the use of language in context. Chen Chunhuas The humorous pragmatic process analysis, firstly, analyzed the phenomenon of conversation humor, then discussed the application of the Conversational Implicature Theory, and gave instances to explain the humor. Li Lanpings Principles of pragmatics and English humor, also analyzed humor language from the point of Presupposition, Conversational Implicature and Cooperative Principle. Meng Zhigang, his book, See the generation of humor from the pragmatic principles, studied humor language from the aspects of Deixi, Presupposition, Conversational Implicature, Cooperative Principle, Speech Act and Relevant Theory, and discussed the humor rules of humor and pragmatics. Zhang Dongmeis The pragmatic effects of English humor also researched humor from the views of Pragmatic Errors, Pragmatic Reasoning and Cross-cultural pragmatics. Zhang Peipeis The pragmatic analysis of English humor. Those scholars mostly based on the viewpoint of Pragmatics Theory, for example: Cooperative Principle, Speech Act, Conversational Implicature and Relevant Theory, to analyse and discuss the pragmatic mechanism of humors happening.Form the perspective of Psychological Cognization, Nan Zuomin had a work on humor research, The humorous semantic process analysis, he thought that there are several common features among conversation humor from the preset semantic category to the actual semantic category, the relationship between the context and the language user, the context and the attention or ignorance of language information. Further more, Jiang Yongs From the view of Invisible Space Composite Theory to understand the semantic transition of humor used the Invisible Space Composite Theory to interpret the semantic transition when you are understanding the language, and apply the interaction between language information and contextual assumption to describe dynamic progress of the current meaning and some humor languages semantic transition progress when you are understanding.From the angle of rhetoric to analyse humor, Ni Peisens The role of positive rhetoric in producing English humor mainly focused on the figure of speech. He analyzed sketch and comedys humor produced by using homophonic (partial tone), and he thought language humor and various presentation owe to authors application of rhetoric. Whats more, he gave instances to explain the humor effect of irony, hyperbole and pun.In addition, there are many presses the author looks for: Analysis of Humor in the Language of Friends through the Deviation of Cooperative Principle, which mainly analyses the situation comedys humor and take advantage of Cooperative Principle to discuss the production of Conversational Implicature, which also says the Conversational Implicature often express another meaning, so there is humors generation. The essay of Analysis of Humor in Naked Marriage Era by Violation of the Cooperative Principle also uses Grices Cooperative Principle to research the art of humor, which takes advantage of the conversations intending to violate the Cooperative Principle to explain how the humor appears. And the essay of Yao guangjins Humors in Comic play Money Is Not a Problem from the view of Cooperative Principle mainly utilize Grices four basic criterion of Cooperative Principle to discuss Money Is Not a Problem has a further understanding of humor by violating the theory of Cooperative Principle . 4. The trend of humor researchesLooking back of the humor researches in western linguistics. The author finds some features: psychology, aesthetics ,and philosophy, which all effects the researches on humor in other fields. Those scholars discussed humor from different linguistic perspectives, which declared that the researches on humor have systematicness. From above researches on humor for several decades at home, we can see the research trend of humor already presents the pattern with various perspectives and levels. On the one hand, we can know that the researches on humor have made a great progress in its extent and depth; on the contrary, we also find the phenomenon of repetition at the same time. The researches at home on language humor was mostly about pragmatic. While the researches in other fields was relatively frail. The researches on humor is expected to pay more attention to the combination of the exploration theory and the materials in real life. In addition, the essay is to combine the real materials and theories to state the language humor.5. The significance of the humor researchesIn conclusion, we study humor from different aspects. The Cooperative Principle is the famous pragmatic theory to apply to humor research. So the present essay attempts to reveal the cognitive process of understanding humors language by analyzing the instances of humor in Variety Show “Shui Neng Bai Li Tiao Yi”,
