Grand 8(A) Unit10 If you go to the party, youll have a great time!Section B 1a-1d曾永乐教学目标1. 知识目标掌握本课重点词汇:New Years resolutions/ be happy/ be famous/ make a lot of money/ make a soccer team/ travel around the world/ go to college/ get an education掌握本课重点句型:If I do, I will2. 能力目标培养学生运用条件状语从句来讨论将来的情况,并在教学环节中提高学生听说读写的能力。3. 情感目标通过讨论课本内容来探究将来职业的选择,让学生考虑自己的将来并能早做打算,同时让学生明白金钱并不是选择职业的唯一标准。学情分析本单元section B第一课时是侧重听说,并通过听说能简单书面表达自己意愿的课型,这就要求学生具备一定的听说基本能力。但班上学生的听说能力不是在一个水平阶段,这对教师的教学提出了挑战,既要让学得慢,模仿能力弱,基础差的学生跟得上,又要让水平较好的学生不感到厌倦,所以我组织学生在游戏中学,在合作讨论中学习。初二的学生有一种好胜和从众的心理,让学生在合作的氛围中学习,比只由教师教自己学要更有成效。教学重难点教学重点:掌握重点词汇和句型以及条件状语从句教学难点:能正确运用条件状语从句来讨论问题,并且在句子使用第一人称和第三人称时能正确运用动词的形态。教学过程Step1 Warming up1) Play a sound about “money”, and give a question “Do you like money?”2) Discuss how to get money by showing the following sentences and ask students to fill in the blanks: a) I think I should study really hard. If I _ hard, I _ study at a good university. b) If I _ at a good university, I _ a good job after finishing schoolwork. c) If I _ a good job, I _ lots of money. d) If I _ lots of money, I will. Step 2 Learning1) Words and phrasesan athlete/ New Years resolutions/ be happy/ be famous/ make a lot of money/ make a soccer team/ travel around the world/ go to college/ get an educationa) Watch a short video and ask students to discuss “Do you want to be an athlete?” and “What should you do?” to review the words: basketball playerand phrases: work hard/ take lessons/ join the club/; also to lead in the sentence pattern: If I, I willb) Use the pictures and sentence pattern “If I become an athlete, I will”to teach new words and phrases.c) Review the new words and phrases.2) Activity 1: Listening comprehension a) Listen and look at the list in 1a. Write A before each thing the soccer agent talks about and P before each thing Michaels parents talk about.b) Listen again. Complete the sentences. c) Check the answers.3) Activity 2: ExerciseAccording to the conversation, fill in the blanks.4) Activity 3: DiscussionAsk students to give some advice to Michael. Should he join the Lions? Why or why not?5) Activity 4: Group workDiscuss the following situation and give some advice. Students may have a conclusion by discussing that although money is important, money isnt everything.Step 3 Summarize1) Ask students to sum up how to give advice by using the new word and phrases.2) Ask students to sum up how to make adverbial clause of condition with “if”.
