She has long straight hair. Is he tall or short? He is tall.2. Ability goals: Learn to describe peoples looks.3. Moral goals: Educate students not to judge a person by looks.Teaching important points: What questions adjectives of description.Teaching difficult points: Alternative questions.Teaching methods: Listening and speaking methods.Teaching procedures:Step1. Warming-up (free talk) Show a picture of a movie actress, then ask students some questions about her. What is her name? What dose she do? Is her hair long?Step2. Learn new words. 1.Show some pictures and learn new words. 2.Read the new words. 3.Make sentences about peoples looks.Step3. Work on 1a. Match the words with the people in the picture. You can use some letters more than once.Step4. Make a summary. Words and sentences for describing people.Step5. Listening. 1.Now come to the 1b,please read through the instruction so that you know how to do this. 2. Play the tape 3.Invite one student to share herhis answers, correct them if any.Step6. Pair-work. 1.Give them several minutes to complete the 1c according to the instruction from 1c. 2.Invite some pairs to act out. 3.Play a guessing game.Step7. Practice.Step8.
