Teaching Methods:(1) Warming-up to arouse the students interest in the topic on happiness. (2) Show the pictures and questions. Get as many activities as possible for the students to get more chance to speak and think. Teaching aids: MultimediaTeaching Procedure:Step 1 GreetingsGreet the class as usual.Step 2 Lead-in T: There is a riddle. Lets read it and guess the answer. There is something in the world. It has no shape, no color and no weight. It cant be seen or touched. But everyone dreams of it very much. What is it? Thats happiness.Step 3 Warming-upAsk the students a question to think about. Q: “What is happiness?” Then, show pictures to the students to discuss and see if the things in the pictures stand for the real happiness.(picture 1) The big house?(picture 2) The nice car?(picture 3) Luxury goods?(picture 4) Much money in bank account?Of course not. In fact, there are a great many people who have all the material conditions of happiness, but who, nevertheless, are profoundly unhappy. An unhappy man would be better to choose walking or taking exercises instead of thinking about how to get happiness by day and night. 2. What does family life give us? Provide a comfortable and secure place. Firstly, work is the only way for us to satisfy our basic needs. Secondly, work is an important way to achieve ourselves. Without work, you would be bored, and even decadent.6.
