Unit 7 Its raining!宁波市第七中学 姚姣姣教 材 分 析本单元的话题围绕天气展开,语言功能为“描述天气和正在做的事”,语法内容主要包括现在进行时态和一般现在时的比较,以how引导的询问天气的特殊疑问句及其回答,打招呼用语的特殊疑问句和答句。本课教学内容为第三课时Grammar部分,课型为语法课。3a是以填写小对话的方式将一般现在时态和现在进行时态进行了比较。3b通过采访活动为学生提供练习和复习描述天气以及人们正在做的活动的机会。能够理解现在进行时和一般现在时的区别,熟练运用现在进行时是本部分的难点与重点。学 习 目 标【语言能力】1 能正确运用打招呼用语的特殊疑问句和答句2 能正确运用how引导的特殊疑问句询问天气并回答3 能正确运用现在进行时描述人们正在做的事4 能正确区分现在进行时和一般现在时【学习能力】学生能在自主学习、同伴互助、小组合作等多种学习方式中体验、发现和总结。【文化品格】学生通过语法学习,描述不同地方的天气,以及人们正在做的事情,感受不同地区的人们会体验不同的天气,而在不同的天气里,人们应选择从事适合的活动。【思维品质】学生能够对他人提供的信息进行整理归纳,并表述给他人。重 点 难 点【教学重点】学生使用目标语言讲述正在进行的事,掌握语法的语用功能和交际功能。【教学难点】学生体会到现在进行时和一般现在时的区别,并明白天气对于人们生活的重要影响。教 学 步 骤Step 1: Warm up and lead inActivity 1: Free TalkPicture talking: T greets ss. T shows ss some pics of traveling in different places. T informs ss that there are many TV programs about different places in the world.【设计意图】:通过图片导入介绍世界不同地方人文特色的节目,由此引出Around the World这个节目。Activity 2 : Introduce the TV program Around the World Ss are going to be the host of the program Around the world. Around the world is a program which helps people to know more about the world. The program covers four parts: places, weather, activities and Live Room. T guides ss to explore the four parts of the program one by one.【设计意图】:创设真实情景,让学生在语境中运用目标语法。Step 2: Presentation Activity 1: Describe the weatherRecognize places: T shows ss a map of the world and then let them find the countries they know.Talk about the weather: Ss make dialogs to describe the weather in different places around the world: 【设计意图】:让学生回忆起前一课时的内容,使得学生在与教师的互动之中使用目标语言。通过运用世界各地的真实的气象信息,让学生进一步运用天气的需要知识,在真实的情景中,进行问答。Activity 2: Describe peoples activities T guides ss to explore the third part “Activity”. In this part, ss are going to describe what people are doing in different places. T shows ss a world map. Ss listen to the phone call between two friends and complete the dialogue. Then T shows ss another four dialogues and asks ss to help her complete the conversations. After finishing blank filling, T asks ss two questions:1. How to start a conversation? Hows it going?2. When should we use “be + doing” and “do/ does”? be + doing : at the moment/ now /right nowdo/does: every day/ every morning/every Saturday/always/usually/oftenA: Hows it going?B: Not Bad.A: Is Julie studying English right now?B: No, she isnt. she is studying Chinese. A: Hows it going?B: Pretty good.A: what are you doing now?B: I am doing my homework. I always do my homework in the evening. A: Hows it going?B: Not Bad.A: Is Lisa talking on the phone again?B: Yes, she talks on the phone for three hours every day. A: Hows it going?B: Great.A: what is John doing right now?B: He is playing soccer. He plays soccer every Saturday. A: Hows it going?B: Not Bad.A: what are Julie and Jane doing?B: They are making soup. They can make very good soup. 【设计意图】:以通电话的形式,真实地呈现语言的功能对课本里的练习进行改编,把练习融入到语境中进行操练,使学生能在语境中运用目标语法。每个小对话都设计成讲电话的形式,使学生能身临其境地感受语言的功能。Step 3: Practice Activity 1: Listen and choose Students listen to the tape about a familys activities and choose the right picture. Activity 2: Retell Ss retell what the family members are doing and what the weather is like according to the right picture.【设计意图】通过听说训练,进一步操练现在进行时态和对天气的描述,让学生在语境中操练目标语法。Activity3:Complete the information chartFind the information in the pictures and fill in the chart. T shows ss five pictures. ScaffoldingSs are supposed to think about what questions they can ask in an interview. What questions can you ask?1. Hows it going?2. Whats the weather like?3. What are you doing?4. How do you feel?5. 2. Interview Ss work in group of four. One student is the interviewer, and the other three are the interviewees. T invites ss to come to the stage and show their interview to other ss.【设计意图】通过进行采访之前的对话操练,给学生搭建语言支架。创设语境,让学生在采访同学或者是接受采访的过程中,进行语言输出。 Activity 2: Have a live showSs come to the Live Room part. Ss are going to be a live show anchor. They are supposed to imagine what they are doing in different weather and how they feel. T shows ss a video, which is about a live show. The script: Hello, everyone. I am the host of Around the world. Our friends Helen, Gina, Mark and Lucy are in different places now. Helen is in Russia. It is snowy, and she is making a snowman. She feels very excited and happy. Lucy is in America. The weather is fine. It is sunny. She is doing her homework. She feels bored. Mark is in Canada. He is flying a kite. He is very happy.
