Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?Section A (3a3c)教学设计 四川省三台县上新初中 张丽琼一、【教材分析】 本单元的主要话题是谈论过去发生的事情,主要是学习过去进行时的用法和时间状语从句。本节课以阅读为核心,通过让学生阅读一篇关于美国亚拉巴马州遭风暴袭击后人们互相帮助的故事,进一步体会过去进行时的用法,并学习一些居住场景中常用的词汇,同时也注重对青少年情感的教育和培养,让他们知道在灾难面前更要团结,更友善,更懂得互相帮助。 二、【学情分析】 八年级的学生已经积累了一定的英语词汇,并且已经学习了一般过去时和对过去进行时的初步学习和操练。在老师的引导下应该能用过去的时态谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。但我校学生的英语基础还不够扎实,因此,为了较好的完成本课的教学内容,我首先制定了学案,让学生对照学案课前先预习本课。三、【教 学 目 标】 知识与能力目标: 1. 学习并掌握下列单词: storm, wind, light, report, area, wood, window, flashlight, match, beat, against, asleep, rise, fallen, apart 2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:with a serious storm happening outside, make sure, fall asleep, die down, in a mess, clean up ,at first .3. 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式: With no light outside, it felt like midnight. while his mom was making sure the flashlights and radio were working. It was hard to have fun with a serious storm happening outside. When he woke up, the sun was rising. He finally fell asleep when the wind was dying down at around 3:00 a.m. He went outside with his family and foundthe neighborhood in a mess. Although the storm broke many things apart, it brought families and neighbors closer together. 4. 通过阅读训练,提高学生的阅读能力和技巧;学会运用过去进行时态,能简单谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。 过程与方法:在课堂中,通过听说读写训练,让学生学会自主学习、合作交流和小组竞争的学习方法,以培养学生的自学能力、合作与竞争精神。 情感态度与价值目标:通过本课的学习,让学生能够对灾难使民心凝聚的理解,培养学生在困难面前互帮互助的优良品质。 教学重点:提高学生的阅读能力和技巧;正确使用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。教学难点:正确使用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。 教学方法:情景教学法;任务型教学法。 学法: 遵循“教为主导,学为主体”的教育教学思想。所以,课前让学生先预习,自己先找出疑难点。在课堂中,让学生学会自主学习、合作交流和小组竞争的学习方法,以培养学生的自学能力、合作与竞争精神。 二、【教学流程】 Step 1: Free talk:1.Greeting and organizationStip2 Review and leading in:T: What are you doing? What were you doing at this time last Sunday? How is the weather today? Do you like storms ?Why?Step 2: Presentation and learn some new words: (1) Show the 3 pictures with PPT and ask what happened?(2) Do you know how the storm happened? Before the storm : Show the pictures and the words: black clouds ,dark, strong winds, no light ,flashlight ,matches, some pieces of wood After the storm: Show the pictures and the words: fallen trees, fallen houses, broken windows, in a messStep3 Reading the passageEvery year ,in the US, some storms often happened , some people lost their homes and lives because of the storms. Now, we will learn a passage about a storm happened in Alabama. 【自主学习】1.
