What time is it now?/Whats the time? Its 2. Do you play tennis every day? Yes, we do./No,we dont.Preparation: a clock a tape some cards and some flashcardsTeaching steps:Step 1 Revision1. ReviseT: Hello, everyone. This is my first time to teach you. I like to teach you because you are clever. I like to make friends with you. What about you? Do you like to?Ss: Yes,we do.T: Oh,thank you.2. Revise Can you swim/sing/play football?etc. Yes,I can.Revise Can you smoke/shout in the classroom/climb the tree in the park/bring your snacks into the classroom?etc. No,I cant.Step 2 Presentation1. Show the Ss a clock and ask:T: Look at this. What is it?Ss:Its a clock.T:Yes,Its a clock. You are right. What time is it? Ss:It seven oclock.Then show the clocks and the time: 7:30/7:50/8:15 and ask: What time is it, do you know?Help some students to say the right time in English one by one.( Write the question and the time on the Bb.)2. Show the Ss some cards and ask them to say the time.Have a game between the boys and the girls.Look at whos better, the boys or the girls?Clap the hands to encourage the winners.Step 3 Ask and answerThe teacher asks and the students answer in oral.(Have a game.)1. Do you get up at six?2. Do you have breakfast at 6:30?3. Do you go to school at 7:00?T says: Oh, you should hurry up, or you will be late.Teach new words: get up/ eat breakfast/ hurry up/ You are late/ Im sorryLast time, girls were better.This time, I think boys are better.(Congratulations to the winners.)Step 4 Welcome to the unit.1. ListeningListen to the tape and answer the questions.a. What time does Lily get up?b. What time does she have breakfast?c. Is she late for school?d. Are you often late for school?Oh,good. I think you are a good girl/boy.2. Ask them to open the books and read the dialogues together.3. Then ask them to work in pairs.4. Show the Ss four pictures about the dialogue ,then present the pictures one by one and describe them with the Ss together. At last ask some students to act them in front of the blackboard.Step 5 Practice1. Ask and answera. Do you go to school six days a week?b. Do you have six lessons every day?c. Do you have a Chinese lesson on Monday?d. Do you have a Maths lesson on Tuesday?e. Do you have a Computer lesson on Friday?f. Do you have a Computer lesson only today?2. Teach new words: Chinese/ Maths/ on Monday/ Tue sday/ Friday3. Heip the Ss to say On Monday we have a Chinese lesson./ On Tuesday we have a Maths lesson./ On Friday we have an Art lesson.4. Ask the students to say the above sentences one by one and then say them together.Step 6 Listening1. The teacher says Now lets know what Lily and Nicks school day is like. First have the class read the statements silently by themselves and then have them listen to the tape and catch the main idea.2. After listening to the tape, then have the class circlet or F.3. Then check the answers with the whole class together and have the students correct the wrong statements.Step 7 Speaking 1. This is Lily and Nicks school life. Can you tell me your school life? Heres some news about our school life.(writing them on the flashcard.) 13-14 Class 15, Grade 1 Monday a Chinese lesson Tuesday a Maths lesson Friday a Computer lesson every Tuesday only a music lesson six days a week2. Ask the students to work in pairs and then ask some of them to say sth.about their school life.Step 8 Homework1. Have the class remember all the new words and use
