Teaching aids PPT, video, English songs, 4 pictures about different seasons . Teaching procedures Step 1: Warm-up1. Greetings2. Divide Ss into 3 groups3. Lets enjoy and guessEnjoy colorful pictures about different flowers in different seasons and guess “Whats the topic in this class?”(设计意图:将学生进行分组评价,既调动了学生上课的积极性,又让其领悟竞争与合作的精神,通过利用直观的每个季节花的图片的展示引出“季节”这个话题可以调动学生学习的兴趣)Step 2: Presentation1. Ask Ss a question: How many seasons in a year?2. Present the new words: spring, summer, autumn, wintera. Have Ss guess the riddle “Its warm and windy. I can see many beautiful flowers.”(spring)b. Have Ss listen to the sound of frogs and guess the word(summer)c. Have Ss listen to the English song “I wish you a merry Christmas.” and guess “when is Christmas?”(winter)d. Learn other words this way(autumn)(设计意图:采用猜谜语,听青蛙知了声,听英语歌曲等不同的方式呈现单词,调动学生多种感官与感知,并在词汇教学中也突出语音,拼写,意义的重要性)3. Explain the meaning of “best”: like.best means favorite(设计意图:由词到句自然过渡,培养学生运用语言的思维,通过比较和旧知的解释解决难点best的含义)4. Listen and find “Which season does Oliver like best? Why?”(设计意图:句型的学习回归课本,再次巩固新知)Step 3: Practice1. Game: Whats missing?(设计意图:通过“找不见”游戏来抢答以巩固新词,做到玩中学,并且能够极大的调动学生的注意力)2. Who is the lucky dog?Have Ss make dialogues in pairs(设计意图:首先由师生对话进行示范,再进行同位间的对话,最后通过丢手绢音乐的播放寻找幸运儿,我问你答加强学生对核心句型的理解和学习)3. Listen and sing a song “Whats your favorite season?” for the first time(设计意图:通过听歌模仿的形式进行初体验,以巩固刚学的单词和句型)Step 4: Consolidation Who is the best reporter?1. Teacher presents her favorite season with a picture about springI like spring best. I can see many beautiful flowers. The trees grow and grow. I can also fly kites. Look! Here is a butterfly. How cute! It flies among flowers. I like spring very much.2. Give Ss other 3 pictures about summer, autumn, winter and ask Ss to talk about it in groups3.
