A national effort to promote parental engagement as a simple, effective way to reduce youth substance abuse and raise healthier children. Its always on the last weekend in September.Difficulties (难点) : 本课的难点是学生要区分和掌握家人的称谓, 而学生在初次接触的时候, 要分清楚各个称谓会有一定难度。 学生学习用一般疑问句来询问并回答家庭成员的关系也有一定的难度。Teaching steps Warming-up 1.Daily greetings to the students T: Hello, what is your name?S: My name is .T: Nice to meet you!S: Nice to meet you, too!2.T :Do you like music ? S:Yes. Listen to music : The familyPresentation 1. S: Today well learn unit2 This is my sisterShow the learning goals,get students to read the new words and the sentences.2. Show Liu Xings photo and ask Whats his name ? Help students answer:His names Liu Xing . / Hes Liu Xing . 3. Show Liu Xings family photo and say This is his family.Show more pictures and teach This is his sister /brother/ mother/ father Read after me, mother, father, brother, sister.4. Put his father and mother together and say: These are Liu Xings parents . Read after me.5. ShowLiu Xings grandparents and teach : This is Liu Xings grandfather / grandmother. These are his grandparents. Please read after me.Practice 1.Show Liu Xings family photo and get students to introduce his family members using This is / These are Then get a few groups to act out in front of class . 2.SB Page 7,Match the words with the people in the picture. Check the answers in pairs.Presentation1. Show Liu Xings father and ask Whos he?Help students answer: He is Liu Xings father. Then stand far away from the photo and say : That is Liu Xings father. Write the three sentence on the blackboard : Whos he ? Hes That is 2. Use the photos of his brother and grandfather to practise .3. Show Liu Xings mother and ask Whos she?Help students answer: She is Liu Xings mother. Then stand far away from the photo and say : That is Liu Xings mother. Help students answer: They are Liu Xings parents. Then stand far away from the photo and say : Those are Liu Xings parents.
