Play the video about household chores and let students enjoy it.2. After it, ask students: Can you guess the meaning of “chores”? Then give the definition of “chores”: a job you do at home.Step II. Lead in1. Ask students to watch the video again and list the chores in the video.2. list the chores in the video, show the pictures in the meanwhile. Chores in the video: do the dishes, do the laundry, make the bed= make ones bed, sweep the floor, mop the floor, take out the trash/ rubbish.Step III. Presentation 1. Watch the video about the new words in this period and ask students to read them at the same time. 2. Lets learn more chores: fold your clothes, clean the living room. 3. Ask students to read and translate these phrases: do the dishes, do the laundry, make the bed= make ones bed, sweep the floor, mop the floor, take out the trash/ rubbish, fold your clothes, clean the living room.4. Guessing game. Do a guessing game together with students. First, show pictures with covers on them and ask students what the person is doing in the pictures. Then announce the results.Step IV.
