There are many places for going shopping.Do you like going shopping ? Ss: Yes!T:Now lets learn Unit 7 How much are these socks?(present the pictures of new words and let the students read after them.)Step2 Presentation (words)1. T: Different people like different colors. For example ,you like green ,I like blue, she likes red and he likes yellow.Different people also like different clothes .I like trousers very much. Do you know trousers?(Show the picture of trousers to the students.)What about you? What kind of clothes do you like?S1: I like skirts.S2: I like T-shirts.(Present all kinds of clothes and teach them one by one . T: (Ask students to look at the picture)In this picture, there are four people.Where are they?Ss: They are In a clothes store.T:Right! In this clothes store, there are so many beautiful clothes. I like this sweater very much and I want to buy it . But I dont know the price . How can I ask?S1: How much is this sweater?T: Great! Thank you!S2: I also like these trousers. How can I ask the price?T: How much are these trousers?S3; You are so clever.Thank you!T: When we ask about the price ,we should use ”How much?” If it is only one thing ,we use ”is”. If they are more than one thing, we use “are”.T:Now we know how to ask about the price, do you know how to give the price?S3:Its 9 dollars./They are 9 dollars.T: Well done! We should pay attention to the pronoun.2. Pairwork.T: One student acts the customer , he wants to buy clothes and ask about the price .The other student acts the shop assistant and gives the price correctly. Understand? Here we go!S1:How much are these socks?S2: They are two dollars.(Ask 3-5 pairs to practice.)Step 4 Practice1. Activity 1b: Listen and circle the things you hear in the picture 1a.2. Check the answer and repeat after the recorder.(Check the answer and listen again,then repeat the sentences together.)3. Ask the students to practice the conversation with their partners like this:A:How much is this hat?B:Its six dollars.A:How much are these shorts?B:Theyre eight dollars.Then, let them make their own conversations. Step 5 Presentation 1 Present the pictures of all kinds of colors and their spellings.2.Show two skirts ,Tell the students: Look at these two skirts . This one is brown. Its big. And this one is brown ,too. Its small. Make sure the students understand the meaning of “small”and”big”.3.Show two skirts again. Tell the students: This skirt is long and that skirt is short.(Help the students to understand “long” and ”short”).Step 6 listening 1. Ask the students to look at the pictures on page 38 ,2b Play the recording for the first time for the students to listen and circle the things they hear.2. Play the recording for the second time ,let students listen again ,then fill in the price tags.At last , check their answers.Step 7 Pairwork1. Let students work in pairs to ask and answer questions about the things in 2b like this:How much is the green T-shirt ?Its seven dollars.2. Ask two students to read the conversation on page 38 ,2d to the class, then let students role-play the other conversations with
