Unit 2 This is my sister.单元教材内容:本单元的主题是“家庭生活”,围绕这一主题进行一系列的交际活动,使学生掌握家庭成员的称谓,学会介绍家庭成员并辨别人物之间的关系;能根据照片向他人介绍自己的家人的简单表达方式。作为本单元的第一课时,主要是让学生学会表述家庭成员的称谓,学会用特殊疑问句来询问家人的称谓和介绍家人。课型为听说课。单元教学目标:【语言知识】词汇:father, mother, parents, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, family, those, who, these, they, well, have, day, bye, son, cousin, grandpa, mom, aunt, grandma, dad, uncle, daughter, here, photo, of, next, picture, girl, dog句型:This / That is These / Those are Who is he/ she? He /She is Who are they? They areIs this / that? Yes, it is. No, it isnt.【语言技能】1.能够学会表述家庭成员的称谓。2.询问家人的称谓和介绍家人;介绍自己的家庭成员。3.能够运用本单元所学内容以书面形式向他人介绍你的一张家庭照片。【学习策略】1.能够通过图片与人物描述相结合进行有效记忆。2.能够将人物描述的文字信息和图片信息相互转换。【文化意识】能够恰当使用英语中家庭成员之间的称呼,了解英语国家中介绍他人的方式。【情感态度】通过学习介绍家人和亲属,学会与家人、同学、朋友友好相处,并学会礼貌待人。Period 1 Section A (1a2d)一、教学内容:1a2d二、教学目标:1. 掌握家庭成员的称谓; 2. 能用 who引导到特殊疑问句来询问家人的称谓;运用指示代词this, that, these, those介绍自己的家庭成员;3. 引导学生正确理解家庭的真正意义,教育学生体贴父母,关爱家人。三、教学重点:1.掌握家庭成员的称谓。2.能够简单介绍人物关系:This / That is These / Those are。3.能够指认人物关系:Who is he/ she? He /She is.Is this / that? Yes, it is. No, it isnt. 四、教学难点: 1.介绍家庭成员时对名词单复数与谓语一致性的正确使用。2. Is this / that? 肯定否定回答时代词的使用。五、教学准备:课文录音、多媒体课件、知识卡片和动画My Family等其他评测资源。六、教学过程:Step 1. Warming upGreetings and revision. 1. GreetingsT: How are you? Whats your name? Nice to meet you! Whats your telephone number? etc. 2. Let some Ss show their ID cards. T: Whats your first name? Whats your last name? Whats your telephone number? 3. Let Ss introduce their ID card information to the class. My first name is My last name is My telephone number isStep 2. Lead-inShow a video: My FamilyLet the students perceive new words from the context.Step 3. Presentation 1. show Xia Yus photo T: Whats his name?Ss: His name is Xia Yu.T: We know Xia Yu has a happy Family. Now lets come into his family. Who is this?Ss: This is Xia Xue.T: Xia Xue is Xia Yus?Ss: Sister.T: Good! Who can spell sister? T: Read after me, sister. (Ask a group of Ss to read the word)2. Show Ss other photos and teach the new words by the same way. (brother, father, mother, parent (s), grandfather, grandmother, grandparent (s) )T: Now lets chant. Father, father, this is father. Mother, mother, that is mother. Grandfather, grandfather. Grandmother, grandmother. Parents, parents, these are my parents. Brother, sister, those are my friends.3. Work on 1a. Let Ss look at the picture in 1a. Then read the words on the left side. Then match the words with the people in the picture. Check the answers with the class: 1. a 2. d 3. b 4. h 5. f 6. e 7. i 8. d 9. gStep 4. Listening (1b)T: A boy is talking about his family. Who is he talking about? Now listen and circle the people the boy talks about. Ss: OK. (Play the recording of 1b twice. Students work.) T: Whats the answer? S: Two brothers and a sister. Step 5. Pair work 1. Role-play the conversation in 1a. Ss work in pairs. Role-play the conversation. Try to remember the sentence structure: This is; That is; These are; Those are 2. Look at the picture in 1a. Talk about the other people in the picture with your partner. Using the sentence structure: This is; That is; These are; Those are Step 6. Listening (2a, 2b)1. Show a knowledge cardThe Different Name of the Family Members Between China and the Western CountriesLet the students know the cultural difference between China and the western countries and prepare for the listening activity.2. T: Here are two girls. They are talking about the family members. Please listen to the recording of 2a in Section A and circle the family members you hear.First lets read the words in the box together. mother father sister brothergrandmother grandfather friend grandparentsSs: OK. (Read the words together. Then play the recording of 2a twice. Students work.) T: Check the answer. (Ask two students to say the answers.) 2. Listen and match.T: Now lets look at the photo of this family. We know this is Jenny. But we dont know who is Bob, who is Jack, who is Linda, who is John and who is Mary. Lets listen and find them. (Play the recording of 2b. Students work.)T: Who find them? (Many students may say they do. Choose two of them to answer.) Step 7. Pair work (2c)T: You come to this home. You see a picture on the wall. There are many people in the picture. You want to know who they are. Use “Whos she/he? She/he is” to find them, please. When you finish, change roles to do it. Now begin. (Students work. Teacher walks round the classroom to see how they are doing and helps the students who need.)T: Lets check your work, please.Ss: OK. (Ask one pair to do it.)S1: Whos she?S2: Shes Jenny.S1: Whos he?S2: Hes John. (Ask two more pairs to do it.) Step 8. Role-play (2d)1. Let students look at the picture in 2d. Ask some questions.This is Janes family.(1) Who are they?(2) What are they doing?(Ss may infer they are greeting. Let students say some sentences about greeting.)Good morning/afternoon/evening./Nice to meet you.Teacher adds a sentence “Have a good day” and explain it. (Ss read the conversation then guess who the people are. They can discuss in pairs like the following.) 2. Let some students introduce the people in the picture. They can say: This/That is These/Those are 3. Let Ss read the conversation after the teacher aloud. Then work in groups of three. Practice the conversation. They may change roles as they like. 4. Ask some pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class. Step 9 Homework1. Remember the new words. 2. T
