Call attention to the pictures. Ask students to point to and use the past tense to describe as many of the activities as possible. 2. Point to the numbered activities described in the list. Name the activities and ask students to repeat each one,3. After that, ask students to match each numbered phrase with a picture by writing the letter of each picture in the blank in front of the correct phrase. As students work, move around the room answering questions as needed.4. Check the answers. Thinking Work on 1b. Use the dialogue as an example.3. Help students find partners. Then say. First read the dialogue together. Read both parts. Then make your own dialogues like that one. Tell what Sally and Jim did last weekend.4. Ask pairs of students to present their dialogues to the class. My sister finished high school two weeks ago. two weeks ago “两星期前”,一段时间 + ago意为“多长时间之前”,是表达过去的时间。它常与一般过去时连用。一般过去时的标志性词汇:(ago / last year / yesterday/ the day before yesterday/ just now/in+过去的时间)如: 三天前,我们参观了自然历史博物馆。 We visited the Natural History Museum three days ago. 【辨析】before 意为“在之前”, 其后可以跟一个时间的点, 表示“在某个时间点之前”, 但不一定用于一般过去时态。如: 我常在七点钟前去上学。 I usually go to school before seven. 此外, before也可以单独用, 意为“以前”, 可用于一般过去时态中。如: 以前我不知道那件事情。 I didnt know that before. 2. There we put up our tents and . put up 意为“搭起;举起”。如: 让我们将帐篷搭起来吧。 Lets put up the tent. 如果你有什么问题,请举起手来。 If you have any questions, please put up your hands. 3. My dad started to jump up and down in their tent. start 作动词, 可意为“开始;着手”。常用结构为start to do sth.和start doing sth. (开始做某事)。如: I started to do / doing my homework at 5:30. 我五点半开始做作业的。【运用】将下面的句子翻译成英语。你昨天什么时候开始做晚饭的?5. This woke the snake up and it moved into the forest near the lake. wake up 意为“唤醒”, 后面可以跟名词或代词; 跟名词时可以放在wake up的后面或中间; 但是如果跟代词的话应放于 wake up的中间。如:早上你常什么时候醒来?When do you usually wake up? 不要如此大声说话, 你会将他们吵醒。Dont speak so loud.
