Warming-up and revisionThis weekend is coming, what do you usually do on weekends? (ask one student )what does he usually do on weekends?(ask all the students)Do you want to know what teacher usually does on weekends? . Lead in new words and sentence pattern. 1) This activity introduces the key vocabulary. Focus attention on the picture. Ask students to tellwhatthey see. Name each activity and ask students to repeat:camp by the lake /go to the beach / play badminton. Say each one again and ask students to repeat. Then let students read the phrases in groups. (One minute) ask number four students from group1-4 to stand up and read them.2) Point to a calendar and say today is Friday, it is May thirtieth, it is sunny today. Saturday and Sunday are the weekend. This is last weekend. Then tell some thingsldidlast weekend, such as, camp by the lake/ go to the beach/play badminton/go boating/ do my homework/go to the cinema over the weekend. 3) Lead in the sentence pattern: A: What did you do last weekend? B: On Saturday morning, I camped by the lake. Show students some pictures and let them practice in groups and show(小组练习并展示) In the process of showing, l will lead in the sentence pattern: A: What did she/he do last weekend?B: On Saturday morning, she/he camped by the lake. Show students some pictures and let them practice in groups and show(小组练习并展示)4) Show students a picture of Lucy and ask students “what did she do last weekend?”Let them look at 1a and match the activities with the pictures a-f. Play the recording a second time. This time students listen and repeat. Point out the sample answer under the picture of Lucy playing badminton on Saturday morning.
