It tries to tell the students a few well-known Chinese traditional stories,pay attention to “Yu Gong Moves a Mountain”. Itll make the students realize how to tell a Chinese traditional story!(二)Teaching Goals教学目标1、Knowledge and skill(知识与技能):Vocabulary:shoot,stone,weak,god,remind.Structures:Conjunctions:unless,as soon as,sothatSentences:-How does the story begin?-Once upon a time,there was a very old man.-What happened next?-As soon as the man finished talking, Yu Gong said that his family could continue to move the mountains after he died.-Why was Yu Gong trying to move the mountains?-Because they were so big that it took a long time to walk to the other side.2、Process and methods过程与方法:Pair-work,Group-work,Listening,Speaking,Reading.3、Emotional attitudes and values:Show students the beauty of their hometown- Xinyu and the rich culture of China. Express the love for our motherland.(三)Importance and difficulty1、Importance: Vocabulary:shoot,stone,weak,god,remind.Structures:Conjunctions:unless,as soon as,sothatSentences:-How does the story begin?-Once upon a time,there was a very old man.-What happened next?-As soon as the man finished talking, Yu Gong said that his family could continue to move the mountains after he died.-Why was Yu Gong trying to move the mountains?-Because they were so big that it took a long time to walk to the other side. 2、Difficulty:How to tell the ancient Chinese fairy tales they have learned before. 二、Students analysis学者分析 Students are familiar with the ancient Chinese fairy tales. But they may find it difficult to tell a story by themselves. So at first, they can work in groups and make up a story together. Then they will be able to retell the stories in English and share their own story with others. 三、Teaching methods教学方法 Situational teaching:To begin the lesson with a song they learned in primary school, then use their background information to talk about famous places in Xinyu and share some fairy tales about them. Task-based language learning: give the students some tasks on the lesson, They try to finish the tasks, and learn the lesson step by step. 四、ProceduresStep 1 Greeting (30 seconds)Step 2 Pre-task (8.5 minutes)1. Leading in巧创情景,自然导入 1a课一开始,给学生播放美丽的仙女湖的视频,这首歌是学生们小学学过的内容,引出新余景点仙女湖和它的神话传说。并用教师照片导入另一个景点洞村,说说牛郎织女的故事。引出本课主题中国神话故事。之后请同学们是我们分享一下他们所知道的中国神话。开始允许学生用中文说一说。有的同学可能看到本单元课本的图片,会说图片的故事。T: Before the class, lets first enjoy a beautiful song.(play the video) Do you know the song?Ss: Yes,I do.T: So, what is the song about?Ss: Fairy Lake. T: And what is it famous for? Ss: Its famous for the story of some fairies.T: You are so smart. And this week, I visited a famous place in Xinyu, Do you know where it is? ( Show them some photos) Yes, and do you know the story happened here?Ss: 牛郎织女。(Its the legend of the cowherd and the weaving maid)T: Just now we talked about 2 stories. What kind of stories are they? (They are Chinese fairy tales) Do you know other ancient Chinese fairy tales? Ss: 夸父追日、愚公移山.2. Teach the Chinese names of the fairy tales1) T: you are marvelous. But do you know how to say them in English? Lets look at some pictures.2) T: Now please look at the four pictures in page 41.Can find their correct names in 1a? Please match the story titles with the pictures.T check the answers:b,d,a,c3) Act and guess Group 1and group 2 are Group A. Group 3 and 4 are Group B. They choose a name for their groups.( Yu Gong Group. Kua Fu Group) Invite two students to act out the stories and the first one to give the right English name get one point. Step 3 Listening Section A 1b (6 minutes) T:Just now we learned some stories. Anna and Wang are also talking about a story. What are they talking about? Check the facts you hear.(听力部分让学生先预览1b所给的三个句子,由此猜测出即将听到的内容。)Step 4 Pair-work (5 minutes)Let Ss review the story, and discuss with their partners.Let some pairs to share.For example:A:How does the story begin?B:.A:What happened next? B:.A:Where would they .B:.(让学生讨论整个愚公移山的故事,一来熟悉这个故事的表达,二来为后续讲故事热身。)Step 5 Listening 2a&2b (8 minutes)T:OK,thank you for your sharing. Do you want to know what happened next? Now lets look at 3a. Please listen and number the pictures in 2a(1-4) in order to tell the story.And then, circle the word you hear in 2b.(这个环节,先让学生观察图片,清楚没一幅图所表达的内容,然后在心里有个初步的答案。再结合录音核对答案。录音听一遍不清楚可以来两遍。)T check the answers, explain some important points.Step 6 How to tell a story?(3 minutes)Use past tenseUse linking words: Use your body language.Step 7 Group work(6 minutes)Tell the story of Yu Gong in groups of four.Step 8 Share another fairy tale.(Chinese culture) (7 minutes)Students tell the story of Nv Wa repairs the
