Unit 9 Can you come to my party? Section B 1a-1f 黄湾中学 孙静Analysis of teaching 本课是本单元Section B(1a-1f)第一课时的内容,是学习对于前天、后天等,这样远一些的时间概念的叙述,同时礼貌的发出邀请并进行拒绝回复,适当的讨论自己已有的计划或安排。 Analysis of students 课程内容并不是太复杂,学生同时在Section A已经有所接受过这样的学习,能较完整的进行对话练习。本节课要求学生学习如何对日期进行提问,并能正确回答,采取了对话表演的形式,让学生在语言环境中运用语言,感受到英语学习的乐趣。 Teaching Aims Knowledge Objects 1. Students will be able to master the following words and phrases: calendar, weekday, the day after tomorrow, the day before yesterday, 2. Students will be able to master the following sentences structures: -Whats today? -Its Friday the 16th.- Whats the day after tomorrow? -Its Sunday the 18th.-What was the day before yesterday? -It was Wednesday the 14th. 3. Students will be able to talk about the plans on the calendar.Ability Objects 1. Students can use correct sentence structures to talk about date, make, accept and refuse invitations and give reasons. 2. Students can improve their listening abilities by catching some key words. 3. Students can develop their abilities of working in pairs and communication by learning useful structures.Emotional Objects Students will be able to be polite to others when they turn down their invitations.Teaching Key Points 1. Students can master the key words, phrases and sentence structures well.2. Students can talk about the plans on the calendar.Teaching Difficult Points Students can use proper sentences to make, accept and refuse invitations and give reasons correctly and fluently.Teaching Procedures:Step 1 Greeting Greet the class.Step 2 Presentation1. Show a calendar on the screen.T: Look at this, whats this?Help the students to answer its a calendar.T: Whats the date today?Ss: Its .T: What day is it today?Ss:.T: Whats today?Help the students to answer Its .Then show another calendar to practice .(设计意图:首先利用日历图片教学生词calendar,然后用日历复习原来学过的句型:Whats the date today? What day is it today?进而导入本节课要学习的句型Whats today?然后利用真实的日历教授询问前天、后天等,这样远一些的时间概念的叙述日期句型,这样可以让学生更加直观的了解。)2. Have a discussion. Ask the students to discuss how to ask the date , how to ask the day of the week , how to ask the date and the day of the week.(设计意图:让学生通过合作交流方式,培养他们的合作精神,同时也帮助学困生学习,使他们共同进步。) 3. Ask the students to read and understand the following words and phrases : today, tomorrow, yesterday, weekday, weekend, the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, look after . 4. Have a memory challenge . Ask the students to write down the words and phrases on the screen.(设计意图: 通过本活动,一方面对新单词学习的一种检测;另一方面进行单词记忆大比拼,有助于他们的单词记忆,也有利于提升学生学习英语的兴趣。)Step 3 Work on 1a and 1b. 1. Finish 1a. Ask the students to write the dates in the calendar, and then check the answers. 2. Finish 1b.Ask the students to read the words aloud first ,then have them write the words in 1b below the correct dates on the calendar in 1a .(设计意图:通过实际时间的填写,增强语言的真实性,把新学习的单词在日历的正确位置进行填空,可以让学生更加直观的了解,同时也是对新单词学习的一种检测。)Step 4 Pair work.T: Whats today? Its What is tomorrow? Its Whats the day after tomorrow? Its What was yesterday? It was(设计意图:让学生利用现在的日期进行对话练习,巩固所学内容,把今天所学内容学以致用。)Step 5 Work on 1d and 1e.T: Different people like to invite their friends to do different things. Andy would like to invite Vince to play tennis with him. Can Vince play tennis with Andy?1. Listen and circle. Check the answer with the class.2. Listen and match. Ask the students to listen again and match Vinces activities with the days in 1d. Then check the answers .(设计意图:通过设置多种听力练习方式,让学生从多角度提升学生的听力能力。)3. Role- play the conversation.Teachers word: From Vinces conversation , we must learn that we will be able to be polite to others when we turn down others invitations.(设计意图:让学生通过角色表演,感受英语交际的魅力,让他们懂得要学会礼貌地拒绝别人,对学生进行情感教育。)4. Fill in the blanks. Ask students to fill in the blanks according to 1d. Then check the answers.Step 6 Summary What have you learned in this class?
