基本信息课题Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?.Section A (1a-2d)作者及工作单位 西台中学 刘涵婧教材分析本单元讨论的主题是“谈论过去的事情”,其功能项目是可以用一般过去时讲述自己过去的事情。语言目标是要求学生要求掌握以下句式:What were you doing when the rainstorm came?I was doing my homework at home. 分为Section A , Section B , Self Check三个部分。本单元内容与实际生活息息相关,是学生感兴趣的话题。本单元是围绕四幅图来展开话题的一个单元,分为五个课时。本节课为本单元第一课时,能够讲述一个人的完整发生的事情,并能用英语为他人讲述故事。学情分析学生是学习的主体,对学生情况的分析是教学工作的关键环节。八年级学生的特点:八年级学生经过一年多系统的英语学习,具备了一定的听说基础,正逐步向读,写过渡,通过一年多新课程理念的熏陶和实践,有了初步自主合作,分析归纳的能力。并处于知识积累,前后知识衔接,培养良好的学习习惯的关键时期。大部分学生对英语有一定兴趣,但由于知识的安排由浅入深,有少数学生对这门学科产生了厌恶心理,消除学生厌学情绪,激发学习兴趣至关重要。教学目标Language points(语言点)要求掌握以下句式: What were you doing when the rainstorm came? I was doing my homework at home.2要求掌握以下词汇: 1)介词短语:in the library, in (my) house, on the street, at the bus stop2)名词:rainstorm, umbrella, alarm 3)副词:heavily, suddenly4 ) 动词和短语:begin, go off, pick up, wait for, miss the bus, take a hot shower, look for (本节课的生词较少,而且单词的拼写比较简单,所以学生学起来不会感到困难,如果班级学生的水平较高,可以鼓励学生当堂掌握。)教学重点和难点教学重点 单词短语: rainstorm, suddenly, alarm , go off , pick up , strange, report, area, wood, light, window, match, beat, heavily, against, asleep, fall asleep, die down, rise, apart, passage, pupil, bright, play ground, bell, completely, silence, in silence, recently, date, tower, at first, realize, truth 句子: 1. What were you doing at eight last night? I was taking a shower. 2. What was she doing at the time of the rainstorm? She was doing her homework. 3. What was he doing when the rainstorm came? He was reading in the library when the rainstorm came. 4. What was Ben doing when it began to rain heavily? When it began to rain, Ben was helping his mom make dinner. 5. What was Jenny doing while Linda was sleeping? While Linda was sleeping, Jenny was helping Mary with her homework 语法:过去进行时。 教学难点: when, while引导的时间状语从句中的过去时和过去进行时教学过程教学环节教师活动预设学生行为设计意图 Step1:Warm-up and revisionAsk questions and write some words and phrases .T: Nice to see you again, everyone!
