The Literature of Romanticism (1)Romanticism: a literary trend or movement at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries under the historical background of the Industrial Revolution around 1760 and the French Revolution (1789-1799)Romantic: a school of literature opposed to the Classic, first used by the German critic Friedrich Schlegel at the beginning of the 19th century, carried to England and France from GermanySome Characteristics of Romanticism1.
