Because theyre cute.2. ability aims: students are able to understand and use the sentence structure: why do you like pandas? Because theyre cute. Students are able to use the adjectives to describe animals and to express their preferences. Students will get improvement in listening and speaking about animals.3. Emotional aims:Students will know more about animals and learn to get on well with animals.Teaching key points: students can master these new words: tiger, giraffe, smart. students are able to use the structure “ why do you like.s? Because theyre.” to talk about their preferences and describe animals.Teaching difficult points:Students can use the words to describe different kinds of animal and express their preferences.Teaching methods:Task-based language teaching method, communicative approach ,situational approachTeaching aids:Computer, chalk, PPT, tape playerTeaching procedures:Step1: lead-in:greet students and divide students into four groups. Students answer questions in groups and you can get points. The group with the highest points will get some prize. lets enjoy a short video together. Do you know the movie is? S1: kong-fu panda.T : yes, great. There are so many animals in the movie. The panda is so great . Do you want to know more about other animals? Ok. Today lets learn unit5 “Why do you like pandas?Step2: presentation: guess gamePlease look at the screen and guess what these animals are. What do you think of these animals? Panda, cute tiger scary situation If our school organizes our students to go to the Balihe zoo to see animals, what animals do you like? Why do you like? Teacher asks students the questions and reasons. students can use the words to answer.Step3: Consolidation: Pair-work:Please try to ask partners these questions and make your own conversations. Then ask students to show your work in group. Exercise:Do exercise on page 25. Then check answers together. Listening:Some students also go to a zoo. What animals do they talk about? Lets listen to 1b. Check the animals you hear. Then ask one student to share answers. Role-play:if you are the two students, role-play the conversations with your partners. Activity:image you are a reporter of Animal World. Interview your classmates what they know about animals. Here are sentence patterns for you. Then share your presentation with us.Step4: Summary:What do we learn in this class? Ask one student to summarize the important points.Step5 Homework:In this class, we learn some animals.
