After learning this period, half the Ss will be able to know that we should care about our friends and parents life.Teaching methods: PPP Teaching lessons: Listening and speakingTeaching aids: PPT, Mediaplayer, chalks Teaching procedures: Step 1: Lead-in (3mins) Ask Ss to listen to a song, Rainy Day T: Do you like this song? What weather is this song about? Ss: Its rainy. T: Do you like rainy days? Is it rainy today? Ss: No, its cloudy. T: What was the weather like last night? Ss: It was raining heavily. Step 2: Presentation (13mins) Activity 1: 1a (5mins) T: Raining heavily means rainstorm. So last night there was a rainstorm. A rainstorm came last night. What were you when the rainstorm came last night? S1: I was in my house. S2: I was in the library. S3: . T: Lets look at the pictures on the screen. Where were they? Ss:They were in/on the street, in the house, in the library. Then, let Ss finish 1a. Activity 2: 1b (8mins) T: Can you tell me? what were you doing when the rainstorm came last night? S1: I was doing my homework. S2: I was watching TV S3: I was. T: So you were doing different things when the rainstorm came last night? How about them? Lets look at the screens. Work in a group of two. We can also ask like this: What were you doing at the time of rainstorm? S1:-What was he doing at the time of the rainstorm came last night? S2:-He was playing sports. Then teacher asks Ss 3 groups to practice. T: Now, lets listen to the radio about the TV report. What were they doing when the rainstorm came? Circle the correct answers. S1:. S2: .
