A:Where are you going to work?B:Im going to move to Shanghai.A:When are you goning to start?B:Im going to start when I finish high school and college.3) The simple future tense2. 情感态度价值观目标:1) Build up the corret opinion and love their jobs.2)Let students know: No pains, no gains. They must study hard to achieve their dreams.二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) “be going to”2) Use the simple future tense to make plans.2. 教学难点:”be going to”使用中人称和be动词的一致,以及to后加动词原形。三、教学过程Step I. Warming- up and leading-in 1. Welcome to my class. Im very happy to see you here. I am a teacher. Who wants to be a teacher like me? Today we will learn a new topic-dream job in Unit 6. Can you tell me what you are going to be when you grow up? Lets choose a job for us.2. A guessing game: (Riddles)T : Do you want to play a guessing game to relax your nerves. You should guess the jobs according to the sentences and pictures.Ask Ss to guess the jobs.1) People come to see me when they are ill. I can help to make them feel better. (a doctor)2) A person who designs computer programs.(a computer programmer)3) I like sports and I practice basketball every day. (a basketball player)4) I wear a cool uniform and I work to make our city safe. (a policeman)5) I work in a restaurant, I can cook delicious food for people. (a cook)6) I am good at designing. I can build high buildings and long bridges. (an engineer)(Teach the new words: doctor, computer programmer, basket player, policeman, cook and engineer)Step II. Pairwork 1. Show some sentences and pictures, then ask students to make new conversations about jobs. (Practice and consolidate the target language. )Let students pay attention to the red words or phrases.Just like:A: What do you want to be when you grow up?B: I want to be a/an.(Teach the new words: driver, pianist, scientist, violinist, teachers)2. Achieve dreamsTo achieve your dreams, how are you going to do that? First, give a model.Then, show the target language. According to the given words and phrases,then make a new dialogue with your group members. Model: -What are you going to be when you grow up?-Im going to be a teacher.-How are you going to do that?-Im going to study hard.Step III. Presentation (Listening)1. Guess the job according to the pictures.(a college student, a teacher, an actor)2. Do activity 2a. Listen carefully and check the correct boxes in the picture.3. Finish activity 2b. I will play it twice. First, the students should listen carefully and complete the chart. I will give you some hints. Second, check the answers. Use the target language to practice the listening and make it easy. Step IV. Pairwork (2c)This is a part of practicing oral English. You can use the simple tense to talk about Cheng Hans plans.1Ask and answer.2Let students use the third person to practice.Step V. Role-play the conversation.1. Ask students read the conversation in groups and answer the following questions.1)What is ken reading? The Old Man and the Sea by Hemingway.2) What does Ken want to be when he grows up?He wants to be a writer.3) How is he going to become a writer?Hes going to keep on writing stories.2. Read it again, then translate the underlined phrases.3. Read it in groups again. Boys read Ken, girls read Andy.Step VI. “THE COLOURFUL DREAM TREE”T: Everyone has a dream. Each dream is colourful. Now lets imagine the life in fifteen years. Please look at the blackboard. I will draw a dream tree. You should write down your dream on the paper.What are you going to be? How are you going to do that? Where are you going to work? 1. Put your dream paper on the dream tree.2. The teacher leads Ss to read “No pains, no gains”.Step VII.SummaryIn this class we learnt new words, structures and the simple future tense . We can use“be going to” to express the future. We can make conversations to talk about our plans with others. We must study hard to achieve our dream. Step VIII.Homework Write an article “My Dream Job”.
