Ask the Ss to read the words of Unit 9 section A together and correct their wrong pronunciation. 2. Show some meanings and ask Ss to guess the words and phrases. prefer sth:choose sth rather than sth else ; like sth better. Which would you prefer , coffee or milk prefer sth to sth :I prefer milk to coffee I prefer walking to cycling. prefer to do sth :She prefers to be alone at home dance to the music sing along with the music 3. Review the name of different kinds of music: Pop music, dance music , Latin music, rock & roll music, classical music , rap music , country music , folk music, new age music, light /quiet/loud music. Task 2 Cooperating (Class work and role play) List as many as phrases to describe the kind of music: e.g. quiet, loud, gentle, energetic, slow, fast, exciting, crazy, not noisy, not too loud, can dance to, can sing along with, has great lyrics, can make me cry 2.
